YUM! In my husband's family I was taught to put the eggs on top, so that you can let the cholent cook for about an hour tor two then, right before Shabbas starts, open the lid and whack each egg with the butt of a knife to crack the shell so the broth can get into the egg more easily. 🙂

I've never seen a Cholent look like that, they are usually nice and thick.

Thank you for sharing your life living in now with your son. What a breath of fresh air. You’ve made my day ! And lately life has been hard to see the sunlight. What a ray of sunlight you have given the world.

I introduced camping to my children when they were young and they are doing the same with their children. This is how Florida should be experienced.

Great Video,thank you- i think you are really sweet all together! my question was- in times, when there were no plastic bags (not soo long ago) what did people use instead? Linnen bags maybe?
@shimonshimon34822 жыл бұрын
yes , Linnen bags. in that case the water from the pot penetrated the bag and cooked the rice

That is a twist lock adapter. Also I'm sure you meant 30 amp not volt lol. Thanks for the Vid!! And team JDRF here! Take care folks!

Safta Monique, thank you for sharing your Tscholent recipe. Will try with sweet potato and a few dates. The order you add the ingredients is also valuable as well as not using any added oil or fat. Also will keep rice separate in a bag - how practical. Have to skip the grains, but may substitute with lentils. One can experiment a little before coming back to the original. Thanks again for sharing your family recipe.

This is Rob replying for Safta. I shared your comment with her and she appreciates the feedback. I am also sure that the lentils will be a wonderful addition to the recipe. Best!

Great video. Inspiring. We watched it and decided to take our Pontoon boat to Celadesi Island next day. We are new to boating, so it was an amazing place to mark our first day long boat trip. Very easy to reserve a space and walk to the beach. Amazing views, great facilities! Bring your own food... while there is a convenience store, prices are very high.

I had quite a few boats when I was younger and it’s something I’ve always wanted to do with my son (only child). I was closed-adopted at birth so my son is the only living blood relative that I’ve ever known. Yes we are close and he’s the center of my being. I was finally financially able to buy a brand new Harris Tritoon about 2 months ago and we are having a blast on this thing. We have family time where the whole family goes and we set aside time every now & then for just Dad & Son trips. Thanks so much for sharing. Hopefully I will have some vids coming soon but it will need to be on a different channel due to uhhh some reasons. Lol

It was a pleasure and privilege to watch this video. With all of the trash and profanity on KZbin, it is good to see a wholesome, family oriented video for a change. In an age where most people interact with their phone, TV, or video game console instead of their family, it is so refreshing to see a dad and his son enjoying each other's company, actually talking with each other instead of texting or communicating through social media, and simply enjoying gold old-fashioned quality time together. Although you spent less than 24 hours with your son on this over-nighter, the memories you made together will last him a lifetime. Long after you have gone on, he will look back and remember what a great time he had pontoon camping with his dad back in the spring of '19. Hopefully, he will do the same with his children as you have done with him. Seeing the smile on his face is worth more than anything money could ever buy and I'm sure you realize that. I literally had to wipe the tears from my eyes in more than one spot as I was overcome with emotion knowing how you must feel at that moment while enjoying life with your son on that empty stretch of beach. It's the love a father feels for his children when he surpasses the title of father and becomes a "dad". You did an outstanding job of capturing the emotion of the moment along with the beautiful scenery that went along with it. That is something even professional photographers struggle to do. I think it's a gift as opposed to a skill. You, sir, are truly deserving the honor of being called a dad. I thank you for sharing this video with me if no one else. I hope you continue to make good memories with your son. The world needs more dads like you.

I completely agree with you. I was on the phone 2.5 hours to talk to someone at customer service. They sent me a new motor and told me it would be easy to replace. It took three friends to help me. I also paid for white glove service. Nordictrack and ifit is a joke.
