@ChaosActual1 I definitely get what you're saying and I put out a short clarifying more what I meant.

In Monored is easy to run out of gas this is a great way to have card advantage, but if tou have access to blue or black in your deck well yes you womt be running this one

@mtgman558 i didnt realise that mycosynth is nearly double the price in the US compared to europe (same goes for the boots). my deck is actually close to a 100€ budget (with the exception of a proxyed ragavan).

@MaskedGundam I mean I'd definitely call it around a 6 or 7 imo, the small problem with monkeys/apes is that without kibo the deck can kind of fall flat, when you look at other kindred/typal decks there's usually more than one way to pump up the types which is much harder while playing two types, and a lot of monkeys and apes don't do much, where as a creature type like vampires or dragons has really strong abilities on their creatures and is less reliant on their commander. Overall it's absolutely a fun deck and when I've played it in person it has a lot of explosive potential, where you win out of no where (if you can keep your commander around)

@TheKearth I actually didn't realize the synergy with yedora til you mentioned it, kozilek wise I definitely see what you mean, I mean with kadena it's basically a draw 6 which isn't bad but there are better top ends. Mana rock wise I'm going to be honest, I prefer two mana rocks/rampant growth when building decks just due to pacing, I like turn 2 rock into turn 3 commander a lot more than I like a turn 3 cultivate or whatever. I think if I was rebuilding this deck I would probably also include some flicker spells as a way to turn over manifested creatures for cheap. That's the beauty in deck building though, the more you build the better you get, plus everyone prefers different play patterns. Thank you for the feedback, it's always great to hear

@@mtgman558 Being on curve is valid argument, BUT you are in green you have at least five ramp spells, wich are better because even accidental artifact removal is common, and TBH most of games no one is destroing basic lands, so IMO most green desck should use Rampant Growth, Three Visits, Nature's Lore, Farseek(only in non mono green) and if you use snow lands you can alsto use Into the North, and this cards are cheap, also If you want some good cards to try in Kadena try All ist dust and Ixidron which make semi board wipes but help you or leave your stuff. Also try use Mystic Forge is bonkers (yes it works) I personaly also use 5 flash giving efects in this deck, Alchemist's Refuge(worst one), Vivien, Champion of the Wilds, Leline of Antycipation, Skittering Cicada and Liberator, Urza's Battlethopter, thanks to them you can play free morph/disguise card on every turn.

@lyrthanas it's an app called manabox, I'd highly recommend it, it's probably the easiest deck builder to use, tho if you want certain features you gotta pay like $2 a month

@theluckyone6807 not a bad idea, I'm putting the full list on my channel soon, and it mostly uses flashback, cause you can discard a flashback card to flubs and cast it later to go back to one if you're at zero

@poldosfamily2490 I'm glad it could act as inspiration! I'm still working on my cube and am considering a full breakdown once it's finished. It's definitely one of the most fun things to happen in magic for a while and I loved seeing how creative everyone got.

Kadena has "whenever a facedown creature etb's" draw a card. So curator beastie manifest dread would draw a card. It isn't just on those you cast with kadena so you were missing triggers with your goldfish hands. Been playing kadena and morphs for a very long time. Good content, though, man keep it up!

@samuelkinnunen828 I was talking with another commenter, and I think in an ideal world there'd just be a "glued" set that reprints cards that could be legalized but with better wording/retrained to fit with modern design, that way it's less confusing.

also, re: soul herder, once one Niko is flickered, you are not able to flicker him again with another soul herder as the Niko that enters is a new item to the game with no relation to the previous Niko, thus wiffing any other targeted ability you had chosen Niko for (they all get chosen when they go on the stack, not when they resolve, so you would have to choose the Niko that is currently on the battlefield with all of them) so even if somehow you did manage to get 10 soul herder triggers, only one of them would go off and flicker Niko

@Mischievous_Moth same lol, I was like 7 or 8 when I first started getting into magic, the summer camp I went to didn't really have a format or banlist, so there were un cards everywhere, I was heartbroken a year or two later finding out they couldn't just be played outside of a kitchen table setting

Not to mention her other ability refers to rerilling die, but u cant activate that ability for the other cards like her bc u cant activate an ability during resolution, her second ability is referring to the tokens she made out of die, she allows u to randomize their stats again. Very different from rolling a die and something happening due to luck

@daltronius what I'm hearing is with the change of "2gT: roll a six sided die, create an x/x (creature type) creature token" and "2uT: once this turn you may choose to reroll the outcome of any dice rolled as part of the affect of a spell or ability" or something like that and it would basically be completely fine. I think on further thought I'd less want uncards/playtest cards to be unbanned and more I'd want legal/logical translations of the interesting spells and abilities, as currently there's a lot of abilities that fit modern card design sensibilities that are only found in un sets and are thus unplayable

@@mtgman558 no it would be more like ":cost: roll a d6, create an x/x die token where x is the result. :cost: roll a d6, target die token has base power and toughness x, where x is the result." Her second ability cannot work on any die roll effect bc the rolling is part of resolution, so it would have to specify for ger tokens, and naming them makes it easier to target. Id love if they kept up the interesting abilities theyve been doing recently, but alotta un cards aren't un bc of power, its mostly fo to how they interact with the rules, like last deserts, making u note damage in decimals

@@daltronius couldn't her second ability be reworded to like barbarian subclass and be like "cost: the next time you would roll a dice this turn, roll two and choose eithers result" I mean that's pretty close to a reroll and avoids the weird timing thing

@@mtgman558 the issue is in doing that you lose the entire point of her second ability, its supposed to be a "pump" ability, thats why it refers to die specifically. You could make her be die advantage but i feel ot changes the spirit of the card too much

@micboyyaboy2578 I mean there's definitely truth in that, I think spice8rack's video on unsets really showed that off, and I think it's great, that a lot of casual tables allow that kind of play, to me it's frustrating that there's some cards and certain design space that's been touched on in un/playtest sets, that hasn't been touched since/feels like it'd be perfect for play but is shunned by it's border. I guarantee if you took a shit ton of playtest/unset cards that are fair and just printed them in black border they'd see a ton of play, but until that day they're stuck as mostly un used bulk
