Im no expert, but, would it be easier if everything were launched from the moon? Bring the factories to the moon, the raw materials brought in from asteroids, assemble everything in the moon. Bcoz the moon has less gravity,you can launch heavier objects w/o using so much rocket fuel.

Better to send supplies and a craft to an icy asteroid. Then build and engine(s) on that asteroid to send to proxima. Buried inside a part of the asteroid. Protected within. Then mine the asteroid for materials and more room. Once at proxima. It might take several decades to send the right amounts of seeds and organisms to the surface before it's even worthwhile to send a colony down to the planet.

Believe it or not, Pluto actually does have an Atmosphere, albeit a very thin one but, an atmosphere nonetheless. Even so, a Heat-Shield would probably be required for entry into it! The surface Gravity on Pluto is about half that of our Moon, so getting around will be very easy….Excellent graphics and animation design!

How long will this trip take, those engines aren’t getting the ship up to light speed, and if they were, that trip would be 4.2 years barring any problems?

I am no engineer, but why would the propulsion have such flimsy, unprotected struts? I mean even micrometeorites could take one out. Maybe some reinforced shielding could be introduced?
