Hi Aldina-another great video. I liked the points you made about the importance of loving yourself (very important) and cultivating greater awareness about how your ego can sometimes be a hinderance to your progress. I also agree that most of the negative reactions we get from other people is a reflection of their own issues and has nothing to do with us. Finally, I really loved your emphasis on doing what you want regardless of what others may think, which is a huge part of living an authentic life. I hope you are doing well and thank you for posting!

@@DVNLYHealing :) I can relate to that. I tried to learn a couple of times years ago and ended giving up. I think I'll try again someday, but with a new strategy. The other times I tried too hard and got tired and gave up. Next time I'll go slowly, like 10 minutes a day, even if I don't see any progress at first, to create a foundation and a habit, effortlessly...:D

Do you have any advise for someone who's in a conflicting situation? As someone with only 1 parent left how can I better explain my boundaries to them? I'm in my early 20s but they're very toxic & I want to have a good family relationship with them. But I can't let what they do & how they act slide. I guess what I'm saying is it really hurts that the only parent I have left is someone I need to separate myself from. Hopefully only temporarily but I'm having some trouble coping with these conflicted feelings. P.S Your time reading this if you do is appreciated.

I understand it can be difficult to set boundaries with family, especially when they see you as the person you were before. I’ve learned that saying “I” statements really helps so people don’t feel like they’re being attacked. For example, “I feel very scared and uncomfortable when you raise your voice at me.” A lot of times, people aren’t going to understand your boundaries, and that’s ok. But if it really becomes an issue for you, you have to decide if it’s worth dealing with or if it’s best to distance yourself a little and still have some relationship with them. If you have to lay it all out and explain that you want to have a good relationship but that there needs to be an effort made between both of you, then lay it all out. It’s really tough with family but that doesn’t mean that you have to suffer because they’re blood. Hope that helps a little!

Well said. I would also point out that it's easy to call out other people and admonish them for feeling a certain way. I will admit I have done this in the past but have gotten better at catching myself, as I don't have the right to tell other people how they should feel in any given situation. But as you pretty much said in your video, everyone's emotional experience is unique and valid for them. I also think that having a positive outlook is a good thing, but it is unrealistic and inauthentic to have positive emotions 24/7, which is why I like that you brought up the issue of toxic positivity. Another great video-thank you for posting!

Thank you! Absolutely, I’ve struggled with that too. But, we can’t expect people to feel differently than they do. We can accept people for who they are and what they feel.
@mannyfragoza965223 күн бұрын
I know this is cliche but all our emotional problems come from the Ego. The Ego is the devil inside (although the Bible doesn't use the term Ego) Ezek. xxxvi. 26), "I will take away the heart of stone out of your flesh and I will give you a heart of flesh." (7.) Joel calls him the hidden one; as it is said (Joel ii. 20), "I will remove far from you the hidden one," i. e., the tempter who remains hidden in the heart of man; "and I will drive him into a land barren and desolate," i. e., where the children of men do not usually dwell; 7 NAMES FOR THE DEVIL The Tempter is known by seven distinctive epithets:--(1.) The Holy One--blessed be He!--calls him evil; as it is said, "For the imagination of man's heart is evil." (2.) Moses calls him uncircumcised; as it is said (Deut. x. 16), "Circumcise therefore the uncircumcised foreskin of your heart." (3.) David calls him unclean; as it is said (Ps. li. 10), "Create in me a clean heart, O God!" Consequently there must be an unclean one. (4.) Solomon calls him enemy; as it is said (Prov. XXV. 21, 22), "If thine enemy hunger, give him bread to eat; if he be thirsty, give him water to drink; for thus thou shalt heap coals of fire upon his head, and the Lord shall reward thee" (i. e., oppose him with the law. The word rendered bread, is metaphorically taken for the law, Prov. ix. 5, so that give him water to drink means also the law, Isa. lv. 1--Rashi. And the Lord reward thee, read not reward, but cause him to make peace with thee, not to war against thee.) (5.) Isaiah calls him stumbling-block; as it is said (Isa. lvii. 14), "Cast ye up, cast ye up, prepare the way, take up the stumbling-block out of the way of my people." (6.) Ezekiel calls him stone; as it is said Ezek. xxxvi. 26), "I will take away the heart of stone out of your flesh and I will give you a heart of flesh. I don't believe you can remove the Ego without help from the All-Powerful God.

To be honest the journey of healing can take a lot of time (if you let it), from my own experience if you want a new reality.....it can't be JUST "About that healing" or "when I heal from that" I'm gonna get this . What I'm trying to say is...Healing is not overnight so don't overthink it, you are healing right now so move on to your reality creation part also things can change for you in seconds . You have to listen to the universe and do what you love and use your mind the right way(imagination), only you have the key to your life not me or anyone else. There are infinite possibilities for you in this life don't worry about it.

I completely agree! Life doesn’t just stop when we decide to heal. It’s all about enjoying every part of the journey and not holding ourselves back.

Yes, good points, very true! Its a good attitude to remember that everything is always the way that it is supposed to be. Happiness depends on acceptance of what is. Suffering comes from demanding that we always get what we want, and expecting to never get what we dont want! Cheers!

OMG thanks for sharing....once again I am here trying to sort out my emotions since once again I am fricking crushing and hurting for this girl and your sharing really helped me, at least it put me at peace for the moment. I am finding that my pride and my ideas about stuff (relationships, marriage, etc) are being tested and also I don't like to be vulnerable, to be at the mercy of someone who I feel don't give a flyuing fig about my feelings, so I am also terribly mad at her. I feel cheated. Blessings Aldina.

Im struggling in a environment that is very stressful to me and I hear all sorts of negative things and things people do towards me, but I don’t want to let it stop me. Do you have advice for me?
@DVNLYHealingАй бұрын
I’m sorry that you’re struggling :( the first thing I would do is try to get out of the environment that’s negative for you. That’s only if you have the means to do that! It’s hard to heal and grow in the environment that hurt you in the first place. You seem to already have the strength to keep going, which is great! My main advice is to start putting yourself first even if it makes other people uncomfortable. Learn to set boundaries and stand up for yourself. You don’t have to explain yourself to other people and you’re not here to live for others. What is going to make you happy? How can you incorporate the things that make you happy? Start journaling and allow all of your thoughts to flow without judgement. Start doing the things that make you happy everyday and don’t look back. I hope this helps! You can always reach out to me through email if you want to talk about anything in depth :) wishing you all the best!

You just described one of the thoughts that makes me overthink a lot ( why bad things happens to good people) I fell it comes from what we learned on catechism where they encourages you to behave on life, but as you grow up it seems that it doesnt apply on real life and i cant stop this on my mind. This is the first video i watch on your channel. Thanks.

It's like going through a labyrinth you think you see the way only to come upon a blockage then you have to find another way. Most of the things I really immersed myself in weren't right for me and a lot of these things I had put my heart and soul into. It's tough to give up stuff you love to do, but God has a way of nudging you in a different direction when he sees it could cause you stress or harm in a way we could not foresee.

the voice that is telling you to return to your comfort zone.. i think everybody hear that voice but do we have to follow it?.. i'll speak from personal exp. long ago i had to make an important decision about my job future. After listening to some inspirational music AND some Kobe Bryant quotes (if i am to be literal xD ) i decided to drop out of my comfort zone and believe me when i tell you, it 100% changed my life for the better!! not only i sort of became addicted to not afraid to take chances but i also realized it's rewarding. ofc it's not always like that..we'll sure take some wrong decisions and 'fall down', but if you took the first step in risking, you'll soon realize it's so much easier to 'get back up'.
