We are not only being invaded by illegal immigrants we are now being invaded by Asian hornets!

I'd say there are much more pressing and critical issues for the AT to be highlighting than the Asian Hormet !! Our rivers are literally full of sewage ...
@timbc2434Ай бұрын
Don't worry, there will be plenty of viewers who were never going to have any effect on solving the sewage problem anyway, that in the mean time, could look out for an invasive species such as this Asian Hornet and potentially have an impact on that problem by reporting sightings. The production and publication of this video is unlikely to effect how soon the sewage problem is tackled.
@DanBeech-ht7swАй бұрын
Cleaning rivers is an engineering problem. If this hornet gets established that's an ecological nightmare

Any recommendations on a pair of feeder rods for tench fishing anyone? Local to me I have tench between 3lb to 10lb and I'm looking to upgrade to a nice pair of new rods...There is however some dreaded 10lb+ carp kicking about too 🙄.....Cheers in advance 😎🤙🏻🎣🐟

Great video. I’m a ex patriot transplanted to the high desert of Utah. We have great fishing but sadly no tench fishing. It’s probably the only thing I miss from old blighty
@baldieman64Ай бұрын
Tench are confirmed as present in Utah, although it might take a bit of work to track them down. Search: Tench (Tinca tinca) Ecological Risk Screening Summary U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, February 2011 Revised, August 2014, September 2014, April 2018 Web Version, 4/16/2018

My club have been struggling to limit Cormorant activity but 2023/24 we had over 20 circling our complex and one or two on everday. We have tried ropes scarecrows and have members walking the ponds but we cannot win. The only solution is a lead sandwich its so important they get put on general license for winter 2025 we are planning to buy huge nets to cover 3 of our 6 waters which is sad but we cannot afford to keep buying fish stocks................ the AT needs to write to all its members and each club get signatures from its members or maybe an online petition to get this change pushed through.

I'm an all out Lure Angler! And 99% of the time I fish for predator species. But once or twice a year, I will go specifically for the native Tench. They are simply stunning and beautiful creatures. They will forever remain a favourite for me!

Pity we can't fence the rivers off from Otters too😏
@ottercarpUKАй бұрын
Pity you don't look at the real reason rivers are in decline. Getting rid of otters won't change anything on rivers, especially taking into account that when most rivers where in their prime, otters were also apart of the eco system.
@peterlakey9417Ай бұрын
I fish in Wales and hold a rod license but this funding is only available for English waters. Why should l bother with a license?
@janlesinski4719Ай бұрын
Otters and sewage pollution in Bedford is the reason I will no longer purchase a rod licence
@janlesinski4719Ай бұрын
Best way to protect our fish is to do as our great grandfathers did kill the otters . I fished Scotland's premium carp lake this year only to find nearly all the fish had been killed by otters! introduced by wildlife lovers
@ottercarpUKАй бұрын
Real pity, that you jump on the bandwagon, without finding out the facts. 1. Whilst otter hunts, existed, they did not kill all otters. In fact a very small amount, in the bigger scheme of things. Far less than what are killed on roads. 2. Otters were on the lake, and natural to Scotland, long before any carp, were stocked. 3. Your prized Carp if being introduced to a lake, should be fenced as this video is alluding too. 4. There have been no otters introduced by wildlife lovers or anyone else in Scotland, for the simple reason their has never been a need. Otters are quite capable of finding their own fish be it in a river or lake. And will exploit easy prey, particularly carp in the colder months, which Scotland has more of than the south of England.

Mill Lane is a lovely lake, But those Tench don`t come out easy, I fished it for 3 months in the sping and never had a fish. They where all over me but would`nt eat my bait !! Heavily Carp fished so dont go chucking a rake about or you might end up in the lake.

I’m going to spent my whole season this year fishing with my centre pin and one rod. I did something similar a number of years ago with just three fly patterns, The Adam’s, Klinkhammer special and pheasant tailed nymph. The Young’s Centre Pin is just art in an engineering form, beautifully crafted and timeless.

Angling trust is corrupt a body who stops free speech esp during brexit they banned hundreds of people on social media for supporting brexit angling trust used political agendas inside the fishing forum and social media pages.North East rivers are pretty clean with salmon making a dramatic comeback to all rivers that flow to the humber through the ouse,other rivers such as tees wear and tyne are rated ? Tees ranks 16th best salmon river in england and wales tyne and wear 1 and 2 ,,,,so not doom and gloom-this trust are hype merchants and North East fishery inspectors aka the baillifs from the E/A have many concerns about the so called trust

What is AT’s view on the upsurge of otters and cormorants decimating fresh water fish stocks. They are destroying the natural balance because of forced introduction into places where they don’t naturally belong, specifically otters, or are protected despite the huge damage they cause, specifically cormorants. Otters are now behaving like urban foxes, scavenging towns and domestic garden ponds because they’ve stupidly being reintroduced into wrong areas and destroyed river stocks.
