My son has an 06 RT and just replaced an Asian pump after 1-2 years leaked. Now has a Mopar pump installed $360 w/discount. Belt is squeeking and he wants to know best way to stop it. Assume it's from coolant residue. Help?

Have to ask ...There is a plastic item on your saw work table , you never mention what it is... one was included in the skil ss9503-00 that I just purchased. I can't find it mentioned in the manual or list of included items. Later in your video you have moved it to the lower shelf of your saw table. What the heck is it?

Yep about a half a million bolts. You need a 14,13, and 10 mm unless your pulling the crank pulley. I just did the crank and cam sensors on mine, timing belt had been done with low mileage. The bracket for the A/C compressor is not fun. 1 single long strange bolt will drive you nuts putting it back in. It is about an 8 hour job period, at least.

This would have been extremely helpful if you showed us what that seal looked like up close given this model is now discontinued and if we could see the shape of the seal that fits on the windshield we could maybe find an alternative that will work

You will lose atleast a quart of oil when removing the oil filter but this is also a good time to do an oil change and replace the filter.

This build was over a year ago but I have never dyno'ed it so I am guessing around 400 hp with a Diablo 93 octane tune. I have since installed a 2,800 rpm stall converter because when you put more hp on a car that has a few miles on it that old stock torque converter just can't handle it. There is a mathematical formula for matching the correct stall converter with the cam so I called Comp Cams and went through the specs and they recommended a 2,800 rpm sc. I installed one and created a torque monster. I am looking for a salvage 2006 SRT8 to buy so I can raid the entire drivetrain and build the 6.1 to put it all in my Daytona.

Take down the headliner and push some weedeater string down through the drain holes at all four corners. You can also pour some water into the drain tracks and see if it comes out at the bottom of the car just infront of the rear wheels for the back drains and behind the front wheels for the front drains.

I installed an LED that lights up when my mds turns on my 300c 06 and acted exactly how you described. So I drive on dr 4 and my shutter goes away. Have you found out what links the mds to the torque converter? Is it when the mds engages it sends a signal to the tcc to lock or something? The reason im asking is because it also ocassionally stalls the engine. So i was wondering if maybe my torque converter clutch was staying locked causing my engine to turn off?

I recommend going with a Melling high volume oil pump while you are in there.

@@fyireviewsandhowtos3118 I had all of my parts in hand prior to starting. I did order a Melling, just not the high volume pump. I have never had any issues with oil pressure. It was just way past time for a timing chain (266,000 miles!).

This oil pump is turned by the crank and is mounted on the crank. To my knowledge there is no way to remove the pump by just dropping the oil pan.
