The only thing I am missing in the conclusion is, we never had any wrap on the Hands of Blue twin team agents.

THIS episode is the reason FOX was WRONG for the order they played the episodes. I agree they could start with a "in the middle" episode, like The Train Job, it creates a mystery, how did everyone get here. But since there are TWO episodes that show the origin of the crew, it works better to show half of the origins with Serenity, and Out of Gas shows the origin of the rest. There is also SOOO much you have to explain in a scifi show. Serenity really lays the ground work of who they are, who the reavers are, and how they got the second half of their crew (Book, River, and Simon.)

I was late coming into the TV show and I thought it was crap! But, I tuned into the worst eps of season 1 (there were some bad episodes), and Daniel Jackson (Michael Shanks) was going to leave the show at the end of Season 5. They tried to replace him (didn't work), but when he came back for Season 7, then I started watching and caught up on all the back episodes, too. Season 7 was pretty good, but then it went downhill. Season 8, Jack was promoted to General (which was because RDA lived in LA....

River "THEE DEUS EX MACHENA" TAM should have been saved for the very end. The show did that right. I wished we had more between. This show is compared to Cowboy Bebop. Ill say the enjoyment of the characters makes the comparison justifiable. Cowboy bebop is greater and my favorite work of fiction of all time but Firefly was a toned down version that was really good if not great.

Probably the worst show in television history

Something that gets missed by most. Just before Mal agrees, Inara says they're not companions, not part of the guild. They are... independent Mal's agreement to do the job has less to do with Inara and more to do with a kindred mindset between Mal and the Independent Nandy.

Stitch said he would never have thrown Jayne out. He also said Jayne threw him out before he could even scream. We don't know much of anything about who Stitch is now & even less about what he was like before spending 4 years alone in a sweat box. At the very least, we know that Jayne truly believed(s?) that Stitch would've thrown him out if he hadn't thrown Stitch out 1st. Can we really blame him? That's been his experience. Even with the average person it's difficult to know how they'd react in an emergency. People do what they're trained to do & sans training it's fight, flight, or freeze. However, these are criminals. As Badger pointed out in "Serenity" honor isn't typical (he stated Mal as an exception to the rule). We don't know if Jayne would've been tossed out instead or not. Stitch may not have even known for sure (even if he thought he did). Essentially there are four possibilities (I broke them into two parts of two): 1) he's been at least one similar situation & is (a) lying because he doesn't want to admit to being just like Jayne or (b) knows he would've tossed the money OR 2) he's never been in a situation like that before & (a) thinks he'd have done the same, but won't admit to it or (b) truly believes he would've tossed the money, but has never been tested & therefor doesn't really know because Jayne didn't give him the chance to find out. ❤🧡💛💚💙💜

The “worst effect in the film so far” part stumped me. Lol that effect is the praxis effect and though not a new effect is a nice one. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I wish I had watched this with you when you watched it. Some really astute observations in this review.

No in ep 6 we saw Jace's dragon Vermax whos green lol, we only saw Arrax whos white, for the first time this episode guys. The dragons of Rhaenyra's kids, were all born to the kids, so they're basically the same age as their rider. Luke was 14 and so was baby Arrax. Poor Rhaenyra and Syrax both lost a son.

It's always shocking to me when people say it's their first time watching 90s movies, I grew up on 90s and 80s movies.
