Unfortunately, Riot has not made a convenient way to do it. You have to go into Practice Tool, kill 2 drakes, and hope it spawns the one that you want for the 3rd drake. If it spawns as one of those first 2, you won't be able to get the elemental rift that you want. Even if you hit the "reset game" option, it will not change the map that will be chosen. This means that you have to completely close out the practice tool and try again. You have 1 in 6 odds of getting the one that you want. The process is very tedious, especially if you have to do it more than once. Alternatively, you can use the hextech gates on ARAM.

as someone who has stopped playing for years at a time and came back to grind ranked, yes there is change but fundamentally the game stalled out years ago. Item gold/efficiency, jungle "routes", exp manip, wave management, rotations, timers, objective control, etc. These concepts do have details that change every few patches but if you understand them, it takes no more than a couple of weeks to get a hang of and keep the same level as before. i can only talk with authority about masters and below but at the top the only thing that truly changes is how important the details are. Things like "meta" or counterpicks, damage thresholds, coordinated teamfight mechanics, etc. Just learn the fundamentals, play your game and you will climb, it happens every time, and you will stop when you get tired, because most of us are not so passionate as to learn so many intricate details that challengers / pro players know. opgg:www.op.gg/summoners/las/Yinx-611

That is not good advice, but there are many junglers that can clear fast enough and double scuttle and recall before your first camp spawns. Also it’s worth getting at least one scuttle crab without dying because you can clear your second spawn camps and get one grub or dragon and that should put you at level 6 by 6 minutes. For beginners please focus on sequencing don’t gank if you’re not at least 80% sure it will be successful and ignore your laners pings because then you will fall behind yourself.

@KingAndQueenLegacy It's literally impossible to clear both scuttles, recall, and get back to your first camp before it respawns UNLESS you intentionally clear the initial camp as slowly as possible to make it respawn far later than it should. There isn't a champion in the game with enough mobility, much less "many," as you claimed. The level 6 from drake after 2 full clears and 1 scuttle isn't a guaranteed result since camp levels are based on the average level of the game. Yes, it will work in practice tool, but it's much less common in a real game when you have bot laners along with anyone that misses some minion XP bringing down the average.

I have played on both EUW and EUNE for years and i have played hundreads of games in NA ranked and people in NA definitely are worse at the game in general.

Both regions suck. NA may be like 5% better than LAN but it doesn't matter since both are far from being actual regions. You might be better at toplane there since you have a better computer and less ms than half the region (LAN servers are on Miami) and can space better in lane because of that. Most people in LAN use government PCs and play at 100ms, so you are basically playing against handicaped players. If we compare NA to powerhouses like EUW, China SS or Korea, then we are talking about region diff, but everything else is about the same (just look how tyler1 struggles to even get masters in any region that is not his lmao). Only Japan or OE may be considerably worse than NA.

We already get punished for stomping our opponents. I legit had games in 2023 that I was 2 ranks above my teammates and a rank below my opponents because I accidentally stomped the mage bot meta with an engage tank during the sup item changes.

People dont afk only because they think its a lost game.. most of the time its because they argue with someone in chat since champ select and just want to make the other lose, its an ego thing, i have lost a game before with a shaco that was 10-0 vs a janna jungle with no smite, he decided to afk because the mid laner didnt listen to his call, he was talking shit in chat all game while not doing anything because of it, this is 80% of people going afk, something like that happening.

Where would the remaining MMR go then? I'm assuming that you don't want the AFK player to lose than less than the standard amount of MMR. It gets a little tricky mathematically. Edit for math thoughts: With the example amount of 20 for simplicity, I suppose you could do something like this with the winning team getting 16 and the non-afk defeated players losing 5 LP less than normal. It's less MMR transferred overall, (160 instead of 200) but it would meet your goal. Win: 16 16 16 16 16 Loss: -15 -15 -15 -15 (-20 for AFK only)

I believe that it doesn't work that way with AFK teammates because they only negatively affect the game after they go AFK, unlike a scripter which ruins the integrity of the game from the very beginning.

Of course, what you are describing is already the case for early AFKs that result in a remake. For AFKs that occur significantly later into the game, nobody gaining or losing MMR for it would cause many problems. The first reason is that it would get heavily abused in higher elos by bad actors. It'll make wintrading far worse than it already is by making it impossible for the person being given a wintrade to ever lose a game. The other problem is that it's frustrating for players at all skill levels. They'll feel like their time was completely wasted because they spent 30 minutes on a throwaway game, especially if they were on the winning side. Just because your teammates want to play a game to completion does not mean you are being "held hostage." Not everything should be catered towards solely your experience.

Aah, i was there when they nerfed it. Junglers will be junglers, and still try to double first scuttle everytime even when they SPECIFICALLY made that nerf so people wouldn't throw an entire early game for the damn carapace insect. A good amount of junglers can full clear by 3:15 or 3:20, scuttle used to spawn at 3:15 because of that. Nowadays you're better off straight-up ganking after your 6 camps, and either backing or fighting for the scuttle afterwards, and even then it's okay if you don't get it because you were more active on the map and first scuttle's worth almost nothing anymore.
