When we got a cow a while back, we got the ox tail. It is a very small package and I haven't known what to do with it. This recipe looks very tasty and is just the recipe to use for this item that has been in my freezer.

about how often do you batch make? i find we go through way more broth than i can manage to keep up with making 😅 do you have a reliable brand you recommend when you're in a pinch?
@AmmieHarris
@AmmieHarris 4 күн бұрын
@@RobertaStonequist I only batch make broth before postpartum or if I need to clear bones to make room in the freezers! Otherwise I just try to make a batch 1-2 times per week! It gives us about a gallon or gallon half of broth. But I also find we fly through it as well with the cooking we do with it! But I know that a good problem to have! 💕 I haven’t used it yet bc is not sold in my area locally and I’ve just never ordered any, but I know the “fire and kettle” broth had been recommended by many! There are some weeks in the spring/summer I don’t have any in the fridge just if I don’t feel we are needing it as often. But in the fall and winter when we harvest wild game and have lots of bones, I try to keep the broth well stocked!

love this! thanks for sharing and i started doing the chicken feet trick i think since you're last broth tutorial. i am so grateful you show you just use what have and find ways to manage when you don't. especially with inflation i've been praying about contentment and making due with what we have.
