13:39 I loved the play for Vegas, but I think you missed out on taking Chicago to Santa Fe for an easy complete.

14:37 I'm surprised you passed up Atlanta to Montreal since you were already so close to both of those points. And in hindsight you ended up in Nashville anyway.

I would have been more tempted than you to take those two routes into phoenix instead of the one to Helena

Can I ask, when you were working on Seattle to Las Vegas, when you are worried about blue ending the game, that you didn't go for the higher point routes like Portland to San Francisco first?
@SargesMom-20193 ай бұрын
Good game
@steelybooth66483 ай бұрын
I'm wondering why you decided to go up over the top rather than connecting Denver to Vancouver via Salt Lake/Portland/Seattle or Helena/Calgary? Going across the middle would give more options for later tickets?
@kiewea143 ай бұрын
Not sure why you ever draw off the railyard for 1 card you want before going off the top. Better to go off the top, then take the one you want. Otherwise if a wild peels off when you take your card, you don't get it, as opposed to taking the possible wild off the top, then whatever you want off the yard

turns out you did have enough time to for calgary to nashville, also you could've kept new york to nashville at the start, but don't really fault passing on either. good game.

There were so many good tickets sitting in the deck there. Vegas-NY, LA-Miami, LA-NY, and LA-Chicago were all completed by you, worth over 15 points, and not in anyone's hand. Crazy that you didn't hit any of them

good game. i do think taking omaha to kc and blocking yellow was the play, though i think it only blocks one of yellow's tickets and they still win.

Thanks for the game, Sorcerermatt. You are one amazing teacher. I've learned all I know about ttr from watching your KZbin content. Btw, when you first mentioned blocking that Omah section, I didn't yet have the Houston to Duluth route. You were correct when you said I must have just had Houston to KC. Now, had you blocked that Omah section, I would not have taken Duluth to Houston. But I would have to take something. What that something would have been and then could I have finished it is another question. gg & ty

he blocks after you take, but he gets one less destination ticket draw so you probably still win.

Wow, what a great game! I thought for sure you'd have it before yellow tallied up, especially since I saw you had to have most tickets and longest train. You didn't mention it, but amazingly, no one missed any tickets! That was crazy good action there. But yeah, you should have definitely blocked yellow going to Omaha, I think that would have won you the game. You are too nice!!!
@frankiev16823 ай бұрын
Maybe. My last ticket was 8 pt. The difference between our scores was 16 points. So, at best, a tie. And if I was not able to complete my last ticket, I would have ended the game 2 turns earlier with 6 pink that I had in my hand. But either way it was a good game and I always appreciated playing Sorcerermatt.
@wfchannel46733 ай бұрын
matt still loses if he blocks because then he draws destination tickets one less time so the 16 point loss yellow gets still can't be overtaken.

should've gone toronto to pittsburgh in blue instead of green, though there's an argument for toronto to montreal, but also take with blue. overall, i didn't think duluth to toronto made that much sense, duluth to chicago to pittsburgh seemed better and then i take both slc to chicago and denver to pittsburgh (don't know why you don't take both, it's the main mistake that costs you the game, gets you 11 points and you don't share the bonus for the win), have the green for helena to denver and just need slc to denver.
@roverthtaeh3 ай бұрын
Do you ever play a bad game?!
@wfchannel46733 ай бұрын
@@roverthtaeh of course. there's a decent amount of luck in the game but a lot of it is planning ahead. if you plan on drawing routes, chicago's a way more useful place to be than toronto (plus it saves 2 trains) and there was a lot near the end of this game where green was useful while blue was not.
@IroniChristian3 ай бұрын
It feels like you should have taken Denver to Pittsburgh alongside SLC to Chicago since you were already in pittsburgh and you had plenty of ways into denver
@frankiev16823 ай бұрын
Yes!!!
@ArcaneSky3 ай бұрын
I feel like starting with LA to LV was a mistake so I'd love to hear more about your decision there. Looking at what I would have done, would be to use SLC as a hub to connect Portland, Denver and LV, leaving you with a few different options to connect to Houston and eventually Miami.

definitely would've kept all 5 routes you started with. i know it's 40+ trains to complete, but the only must have single routes are vegas to slc, houston to new orleans, and new orleans to miami. everything else you have options about how you want to approach with most of the best options still open when this game ended as it's mostly not that popular routes.
@DrQuatsch4 ай бұрын
I think Red's problem getting to the South-west was that all routes through Los Angeles had been cut off from there pretty quickly, unless they wanted to try to get 6 blacks. And because you were clearly grabbing the 6-train route cards, I think they immediately switched their plan. They had to go to Calgary anyway, so why not go through there. I expected them to actually have some monster routes (San Francisco - Sault St. Marie, Los Angeles - Miami, Los Angeles - Chicago, Portland - Nashville). I didn't have that Calgary route on the radar myself either. But I did think they were a big threat.
@wfchannel46734 ай бұрын
yeah, anyone taking 2 6s and 2 5s should be considered a threat, which also describes green.
