Can anyone explain what the long arrow below the notes mean? Idk the name of it 🤡
@judithteachesviolin49652 күн бұрын
They are called 'decrescendos', and it means that you play quieter and quieter the narrower the arrow gets. Sometimes in music you will also see them facing the other way, those are called 'crescendos', and they mean you increase the volume. If you want to learn more, you can google search for 'music dynamics' - it'll explain some of the other markings in the video too!

Thank you for providing these. They are so helpful for learning. Is there a symbol on the music sheet that indicates when to reset the bow to the top. I see you reset at the first rest mark but not at the second. When you watch an orchestra I always think it’s so beautiful to have all the bows in sync.

Btw, he didn’t play the whole song
@judithteachesviolin496526 күн бұрын
That's true! If I were to do the whole song it would require some fingerings that are trickier, that's why this is the beginner version - it only has the chorus which is easier to play.

I am so grateful for you, I was getting bored with my practice, but this uptempo beat has saved me. It is a joy to follow along and practice with this daily. Thank you for understanding us beginners!
