I’ve never caught barra personally, but have you considered using a big weedless worm style hook? Once they stick, rarely get thrown!

On your Saltiga 15’s what size main line are you using. I know you talk about using 100lb leader, but I don’t remember what size Braid you are using, especially for those depths? Never mind, you answered the question a few minutes later in the video.

Love you videos. May one day you could explain how you use the Squidtrex. Do you leave it in the bottom or jig with it. I am new to plastics and it is all to much for me. Many thanks.

you can use it in both scenarios vertical jigging and also casting long distances and working it mid water. all depends on the fish and area your fishing

Hi Matt, always like your quality vids and knowledge you share. I was wondering if you could point me out a baitcaster I could use possible for jigging and also could use on my swimbait broomstick for barra? Can't afford 2 reels and would like a baitcaster who can stop big fish on jig and trow my big swim baits around on the 60/80 lb braid for barra?! 😅 any ideas ?
@PelagicPursuit893 күн бұрын
hey mate the Daiwa Lexa 300 is the perfect reel for that, the new one even has the T wing design which allows for better casting and comes with a power handles for swim baits or jigging

Dude you are playing a video game not fishing!!! Live scope is totally cheating!!! That's why you aren't allowed it in bass tournaments anymore!!!! Sorry can't give you credit!!! It's your electronics catching the fish not you!!! Same reason I don't fish for bass on bed it's cheating!!! If you keep throwing at the same fish eventually they get pissed and take it!!! Cheating just like live scope!!! If you want respect among anglers get rid of the video game!!!!
@PelagicPursuit893 күн бұрын
you say this while you most likely use side scan, trolling motors and every other technology on the market. show me you use a bamboo rod and a dug out canoe and ill listen to what you have to say if you care that much about technology and how much it effects fishing.
@thomaskitlica55723 күн бұрын
@@PelagicPursuit89 I don't have any electronics on my boat!!!! You open your mouth without knowing someone!!! I'm 50 years old and learned the water by experience not electronics!!! I can understand if you wanted basic depth finder for bottom contours and structure, but when you are basically videoing your lure and the fish sorry that's cheating!!! You keep casting at the same thing eventually you can make it bite!!!

@PelagicPursuit893 күн бұрын
hey mate. the anchor isn't my merch its Tide Apparels who I fish for and he's been around for over 10 years now and has trade marked the anchor so its like telling nike to change their tick. That's who he is and should be proud of it because of his success.

Matt whats your view on livescope. Good for fisherman bad for our already over fished fisheries.
@PelagicPursuit893 күн бұрын
I think very highly of it allowing you to target large fish you only ever caught by accident and now can target them.
@user-le2dh9yy2w3 күн бұрын
@PelagicPursuit89 Have watched large female barramundi being caught using live scope. These fish are the large breeders that release millions of eggs every year that substain our sport. I hope this technology doesn't harm our sport. These large breeding females wouldn't have been caught without livescope.
