Will have to watch your clean out videos and can see how that goes. Had a up- flow filter my first pond, 2500gal., when it came to clean it before spring, WOW, never again, all day to clean it out. Deceided to change that set up and now have three barrel system with first and second barrel with barrel one K3 media, static bed barrel two, K1micro, static bed and barrel three, K1 micro media moving bed 6" air stone. Went from pea soup to see the bottom, no problem. Usually clean once a week, use shop vac and air lines. Takes less than 30 minutes to clean. Love my system!! Mom

You should look into an engine chain hoist, its made to lift very heavy things, the chain is very long, so you don't have to always reposition like you do with a come-along, and you just pull the one chain very easily, while the other chain does all of the work, because the chain hoist has a much higher gear ratio, then the come-along does. 🧐🤔😎👍

Do you have issues with your 2nd filter not moving water in the the pond, while the 1st filter is pushing water into it? Currently my 2nd filter does not drain into the pond fast enough.

I inherited a 1000G pond that was never kept up with for the 15 years since was installed. The muck is several feet deep, I have been using microbe lift in various products for years trying to dissolve the muck there with no luck as I have no time to drain the pond and clean by hand. I just started the barley extract, so hope it helps clear the water. My question is, should I throw in like couple inches of gravel ontop of the much to create protective layer to stop as much kicking up into the water or this a useless idea?
