Elvis was a style thief. He stole directly from Carl Perkins and Eddie Cochran. Graceland deserves bankruptcy.

I rode this one out south of New Orleans and we had some moderate winds and a little rain from it, but the thing I was so impressed with was looking to the southwest at noon as it passed and seeing a sky so dark it was a deep, deep purple and very dangerous looking.

Carl doesn’t get anywhere near the recognition he deserves as a Rock and Roll pioneer.

In the 80s it was a simple town, not many clubs around, only elderly people, then the cocaine came in, the developers and the idea of the glamour spot that it became in the 90s. Then it became a ghetto tourist spot and place for ghetto reunion, right at the end of the century. The art Deco, the Beach is not the bad thing, it is the people and culture that took over the party scene. The rap, hip hop damage it.

I think on May 2003, the NOAA Weather Radio CRS Tom voice was the first voice to be implemented in Miami, FL if you know what I mean, like in other tornado chasing footages of May 2003, the NOAA Weather Radio voices I heard in the background were either two male voices such as old DECTalk Paul, of AT&T Bell Labs Craig, and the first NOAA Weather Radio female voice Donna. I’m more of an enthusiast of The National Weather Service’s NOAA Weather Radio old TTS voices.

Who would have thought about Gilbert set the lowest pressure ever of 888 millibars. Until Wilma showed up in 2005 with 882 millibars.
