Having kids is so rewarding and such a blessing but very challenging. Make sure you and your partner are ready. I was 32 when I had my daughter and I think it was a perfect age :)

I don’t think there is negativity surrounding motherhood, I think there is a current of negativity towards expanding families. While I don’t agree that having more kids will “destroy the world” in terms of sustainability, etc. I, at 36 I’m not convinced about having kids still, as a heavily traumatized person from my childhood I have doubts whether this is the best idea. And I think besides the discourse of sustainability, world trends, a lot of people my age went through difficult parents and are afraid to replicate. Hope that makes sense?

Genuinely loved your thoughts on motherhood. I think you’re so right about it feeling slightly scary, not only bc of the gravity of such a decision, but also the reality of what our world looks like rn. I could not agree with you more regarding the seriousness of motherhood/parenthood, but I will say, as someone who has always had that desire on my heart, motherhood has by far been the most rewarding and fulfilling thing I’ve experienced. It’s definitely not the answer for everyone and I totally believe that it is not something to take lightly, but the joy in simplicity it has given me, and the healing I’ve experienced just from creating someone else’s childhood has been nothing short of magic ✨

Sarah, you would be an amazing mom! One thing I realized is that the small percentage of people the algorithm gives us may not want kids but there’s a whoooole other population of people out there who do have them. I try not to get too bogged down in what social media feeds me bc it’s easy for it to make you feel small about your choices 🤍 I am going to be 29 and felt on the fence but ultimately I know I want to have a child in the next year and a half or so

I think a lot of the passion behind people saying they don't want to have kids is caused by subconscious rebellion against the current political status quo. Governments around the world want us to have kids while they deny us basic human rights so our only agency is in rebelling against that. While this behaviour is valid, since it's a form of activism, it shouldn't influence our decision on having kids. We only have one life and we don't have to treat is as a political statement

This is super random but what nailpolish are you wearing? It suits your features and style so well! Great vlog as usual ❤

SARAH! I can relate to you on the baby talk. I’m a mom now😊❤ at 29 I was still living with my parents and I was okay with not having kids if it didn’t happen. At 30 , met my partner and I got pregnant. It happens when you least expect it. I love motherhood, it’s tough but it’s a beautiful feeling and journey! So if you dream of becoming a mom, don’t feel guilty about yearning to.

@mimyglow20 күн бұрын
I have a newsletter with 1 k followers tried to monetize my content but I didn’t enjoy it because I felt that I was posting for the money and not my hobby so Substack is way better when you write without monetizing the content
