So epic. Thank you for the very interesting, and highly informative, history of what is a forgotten side of the Great War. So much more than we are taught in school, which is basically just: Huge German victories at Tannenberg and the Masurian Lakes, then the Brusilov offensive, followed by the collapse of the Russian army. This would've been great to watch in school, glad I got to learn about it now!

I was there. I was a 12 years old boy and was forced to move from one city to the other. The video is nice but lack many points and it is one sided. For example, it did not say that after the truth at the end how the Israeli army did enter Beirut after the Paletsinians were evacuated. However the local resistance in Beirut managed to teach them a lesson and they couldn't stand more than few days after suffering many casualties in West Beirut even after the the Palestinians were out. And yes there were no Hezbollah back then. Only local Beirutis. If I were to make a similar video, it would have delivered a more clear message.

You contradict yourself in this comment. The arabs: palestinians, syrians and Lebanese altogether- have lost, yet again, to the IDF. That's why you don't see any Palestinian, Lebanese or Syrian forces occupying parts of israel, but you do see the opposite happening :)

@@xiddox1 :-) That is funny. Let me explain to you how Arabs look at Israel. They never see it as a country and that is why the term occupying Israel is never considered. It is always the liberation of Palestine. In fact to many Arabs, All these countries you mentioned are not supposed to exist. Instead they should be all united under 1 nation. And when I say that all Arabs, I mean the people you see and meet on the street and not the rulers. I want to respect your opinion yet hope you see this from the other side.

Israel is committing unlawful barbaric strikes in Lebanon, including through both apparently indiscriminate and deliberate attacks on Civilians, amounting to War Crimes. Israel’s total warfare in southern Lebanon to make southern Lebanon uninhabitable for Civilians! More than 5,000 projectiles have been fired by Israel on Lebanese villages since ''October 7'' The Lebanese see *both* *Israel* and *Hezbollah* equally as *Terrorist* outlaw *savages.* *Iranian* *Hezbollah* and Israel continue their occupation and harassment of the Lebanese population in the south. The beautiful tree-lined roads up the mountainside have been turned into muddy tracks by the rain, with UN and Lebanese Army soldiers now patrolling where children once played freely in the 750-strong Village. More than 100,000 Lebanese have been displaced from the country’s southern border, fleeing daily barrages of Israeli fire. Last week, 100 rockets came from Israel in a single day!!! It’s very striking when you drive to the South, the Lebanese side is completely barren land whereas the Israelis are cultivating down to the last inch before the border. They made it impossible to plant crops! The *damage* *to* *Lebanon’s* *infrastructure* *in* *2006* was *estimated* to be *more* *than* *$3.5bn!!!* *Israel* has *used* *white* *phosphorus* munitions *on* *southern* *Lebanon,* a violation of international humanitarian law, because they *cause* *respiratory* *damage,* *organ* *failure* and other *horrific* *life-changing* *injuries,* including *burns* that are *extremely* *painful* and *difficult* to *treat* *and* *cannot* *be* *put* *out* *with* *water!* The *Phosphorus* *also* *damages* *Crops* and *destroys* *Trees.* The South is rich in Olives, and Lebanon’s two southernmost govermorates supply more than a third of the Country’s olive oil!

11:19 thanks for clarifying the number of Ottoman troops. That number is close to Turkish sources and it sounds reasonable. Hence the Ottomans couldn't support and supply an army over 100k deep in europe even if they wanted to. Every battle against Turks sounds like Thermopylae when you take euro sources.

The United States does not have the moral quality to demand that Russia return Crimea, Donetsk, Kherson, Lugansk to Ukraine, after the conflict in Ukraine. The United States did the same with Mexico in the 19th century, balkanizing Texas and California, Mexican provinces, through an invented war, to later annex them. The irony is that the US-Americans were illegal immigrants in the Mexican 🇲🇽 province of Texas in the 19th century.

Yeah he wasn't Persian but let's take a look at what Nader calls himself in his poem on the gold coin he made in Isfahan سکه بر زر کرد نام سلطنت را در جهان «نادر ایران زمین خسرو گیتی ستان» «Nader e Iranzamin Khosrow giti setan» It means «Nader of land of Iran, Khosrow the world conqueror» Afsharids were Turkmen of Iran's Khorasan not Azerbaijan Nader was only crowned in Azerbaijan He wasn't from Azerbaijan The term Iran is literally under his royal stamp and on his tombstone He named his country Iran as it can be seen in his letters to the Ottomans even when he called himself Turkoman, in one of his letters, he used Iran as the name of his country 6 times in that very same letter Why do you think he's called the sword of Persia by the western historians ? Why he's not called the sword of Azerbaijan or Turkmenistan ? Why in the western or Ottoman sources, the Safavid, Afsharid and Qajar is called Persia (western) and Iran (Ottoman) ? According to the official announcement of the General Directorate of State Archives of Turkey [Ottoman Department], during the period of Nader Shah, a total of 22 letters were sent from the Iranian government to the Ottoman government, including 20 letters in Persian, 1 letter in Arabic, and 1 letter in Ottoman Turkish And in his letter in Turkish he wrote : In the dire situation of Iran, the Caucasus had fallen into the hands of the Russians and I took it back, for it was an old part of Iran The words Iran and old Iran (ایران، قدیم ایران) can be seen somewhere between the last 4 or 5 sentences in the same line of that letter Even out of his army of 375,000, barely 120,000 were Turk The rest were from other Iranian provinces
