Pretty cool looking job man. I'm an oyster farmer and my favorite part of the week is getting to use our Yale or our T-Rex lifts. Thanks for your service. It's people like you who keep the world going, not soldiers, not cops, but people like you.

Worked for Draper Foods in southern MN which is a food distributor. Loved it. Worked from 96-04 before joining the Army. We delivered mostly to schools, restaurants and event centers like the Target Center and the metrodome when it was up. We had out bust times right around mid summer when schools were getting ready to start. Other than that, it was the best Job I ever had. During the summer, it was slow but we got paid our full pay, worked 4 hours, played cards for 4 hours while getting paid and loaded trucks. Hours were around 8PM to 6 Am from Sunday through Thursday nights and every third Friday. Miss that job.

@@Lucifer___- insensitive were harder to get when we had them. They got rid of insensitive pay and just raised our base pay.
@Lucifer___-Ай бұрын
@@xqeze dang. That sucks. Or is a good thing if it’s a substantial raise
@xqezeАй бұрын
@Lucifer___- it's good sorta. They never adjusted incentive since 14 hr was base pay. So if you were making 17 to 20 base pay you wouldn't make incentive anyway because standards were so high. They raised pay to 27 and still kept incentive like base pay was 14. So only maybe one person was make any incentive anyway. If they adjusted incentive with pay it would be nice but won't ever do that here.

Try loading trucks by hand shit sucks no pallets or pallet jacks just conveyors and our ,muscles pretty sure the company I work for needs to get up to speed
@xqezeАй бұрын
When I worked for ups that's how they loaded trucks too. You can get more product in a truck if it doesn't go on pallets. That's probably why they do that.

I work for our Publix Distribution and at our freezer warehouse they we have robots that replenish their slots instead of forklift drivers which is understandable because I don’t think our equipment can work in that environment plus it’s a 2 story warehouse house as well with elevators for the double jacks since selectors do orders on either floor

Most of the time I heard what it said. I'm just verifying because when it is at max speed, some things sound similar. I'd rather have it repeat it than grab the wrong case. Also usually I'm saying that for the slot ahead of what I'm about to grab. And 90 percent of the time I don't know I'm saying it , it's just out of habit.

I hate being an outbound loader because the physical demands of the job. Loading goods onto outbound vehicles often involves heavy lifting, repetitive motions, and working in potentially uncomfortable or cramped spaces. This physical strain can lead to fatigue, soreness, and an increased risk of injury, which can make the job challenging and unpleasant over time. Additionally, if the workload is consistently high or if there are unrealistic expectations for productivity, it can exacerbate these physical demands and contribute to feelings of frustration and dissatisfaction with the job.

Inbounds! Easy to do, but when they are double stacked and double pin-wheeled, oh boy are they annoying because cases can fall off! I was a dock work for DHL Supply Chain Kraft Heinz for 3 years and 9 months. In the reefer department on a stand up electric forklift. This reminds of that place. I did both inbounds and outbound. My only gripe was that was had a 2 hour turn time for the trucks. Your lucky if you have help and if the trailer is 40-60 pallets.
