Why only left handed ones? Seems a set would be more profitable. I see a lot of these forged and I dont think any of these KZbin bladesmiths even know what this specialized knife is for. Forge On!!!

I don't know much so I could be wrong, but in this kind of spear shouldn't the be the same length as the handle? It's still a great spear😊

I love the knife and your work. My concern with this knife lays with the short tang . If the knife was used as a Bowie knife would the handle hold up?
@MartinHuber_KnivesКүн бұрын
the tang is thicc and long enough for rough work :) goes over 60% of the handle

Love how you touched on the practical forging. I'm full time as well some things just make zero sense to completely forge to shape. Some people don't seem to get that and loose their damn minds over grinding...
@MartinHuber_Knives2 күн бұрын
"1 minute at the forge saves you 5 minutes of grinding" Alec steel said that once and i agree in some ways. But forging a knife to shape or grinding it to the final shape...forging 30minutes - grinding 1.5minutes 😅 Especially, even if you forge it to shape, you have to go to the grinder ANYWAYS. 🤣

It looks way cooler, 100% and honestly i'd do it if i made an income with KZbin yet, so i can take more time with the videos without having to do other orders.. but hey - one day maybe 😄🙌🏻

@@MartinHuber_Knives Absolutley. Another idea is maybe make a canister blank and etch it and put it on your site to sell it. See what a maker can make out of it. that would be cool as well.

Martin, you are one hundred percent correct. I f you are trying to make money you need to use all the tools at your disposal. I have done things in the fully forged form but this is just as a challenge to myself. I could never charge the cost to a customer.

Hot take (pun intended) I see why you cut and ground a lot on the axe and it doesn't make a difference on the finished piece but I'd like to see you guys forge something to shape at some point, just to see how it's done. Curious if someone else feels the same way 😅 Lovely tactical tomahawk nonetheless, also love the video quality! Keep them coming!
