I would like to say that this is 100% correct and I experienced it. I started fasting six months back. My weight was 80kg per fasting. But when I reduced significant fat but my weight still was at 80 then I noticed my bones become thicker and strong.

I lost 7 stone by intermittent fasting, my diabetes was so bad before I lost weight, I was diabetic type 2 but couldn't stop eating sugar. Anyway my dietician didn't approve my fasting, she kept wanting me to eat at least two meals a day! I refused I told her if I eat two meals a day I'll end up eating more. Anyway my diabetes kept improving and eventually the nurse and dietician was so surprised that they asked me if i was still fasting i said yes and she replied well just keep doing it then because you've reversed your diabetes and no longer need medication! Awesome 👍

Although I knew nothing about Dr. Roy Taylor's two-cycle hypothesis or Professor Yoshinori Ohsumi's autophagy, I put my type-2 diabetes into remission in exactly 40-days. In the waning days of 2020, I was hospitalized for DKA, a stay that lasted five days. I was given a prescription for insulin and immediately went home and through anything out that looked like it contained sugar or starch. After a few days of fighting glucose swings, I determine that the battle would be easier if I reduce the number of meals to one-a-day, a veggie omelet with bacon and coffee. Other than that, I drank water and Crystal Light Pure. I also walked, about 26 miles a week. So I never finished the first and only 10 mL vial of insulin. If I knew what I know now, I believe I could have broken my dependency on insulin in a fortnight by going on an extended fast. It seems my doctors prescribed insulin to compensate for my bad diet, never suggesting that T2D could be put into remission. Indeed, my GP said, he had never seen a case like my, stating that I was just experiencing a honeymoon period and would soon be back on insulin. Well, the honeymoon has lasted for over three years, my HbA1c a steady 5.6%. Now I am using extended-fasting to conquer my hypertension and periodontal disease.

I have been intermittent fasting 19/5 for a year, and I am now having gall bladder symptoms. I was diagnosed with a 14mm gallstone. Correlation is not causation- maybe it would have happened anyway. It’s possible that I’ve had that stone for years. I’ve lost 29 pounds in a year, so it was slow. I’m having very good luck with TUDCA- 2 every morning on an empty stomach. I LOVE fasting, so I’m hoping to manage my symptoms! I have 26 more pounds to lose!

Dear Dr. Francoise. Very important video about an area of treatment, that wont be promoted by mass media. We all know that the media shares strong interests with the food- and drug industries, because adverts and commercials are their primary income, and the bread and butter of their business. Despite keeping these scientific results of fasting in the dark, they cannot prevent the individual patient, to chose this effective method to prevent disease and increase well being, and avoid some …maybe all drug use. Per im Danemark.😎🇩🇰

I'm really skinny and I do 5-10 day fast on my own from time to time. Today I am on the 2nd day and as I couldn't fall asleep I gave in,had 5 walnuts and a bell pepper. I hope it doesn't spike insulin too high although I will start from scratch tomorrow 😢. I think it is more about the mindset because when I am busy I tend to ignore the hunger very easily 😅. If you have any doubts about abstaining from food for long periods of time. Here are some encouraging facts about vitamins and minerals. To maintain your eyesight the body only needs one millionth of a gram of vit A a day. All the fat soluble and even water soluble can be recycled for some time. Vitamin K2 can be recycled for up to 6 months because of how important it is to manage coagulation. Also, your fat stores hold minerals, electrolytes, micronutrients. There’s so much more the body does to manage homeostasis, it’s our addictions and egos that cloud our intrinsic understanding of our abilities in that sense.

I've lost 40lbs so far this month with clean eating and a lot of fasting. I'm sure a lot Is water weight but if I keep going, I'll get down to my ideal weight and be healthy again. I'm 6'4" and at my highest I was 320 lb. I'm down to 252 right now and my goal is 210-215

Fasting is the ultimate solution for health. I fast 4 times a year 10 - 20 days water only. The greatest benefits comes in the weeks after the fast - when the body rebuilds and regenerates. If you go to a clinic you won't experience the econmical benefits of fasting - but if money is not an issue for you - that could of course be a nice experience too.

Thank you for your comment. Here at Buchinger Wilhelmi we practice therapeutic fasting based on our founder Dr. Otto Buchinger. This method allows low-calorie teas, juices, and soups (200-250 kcal daily at Buchinger Wilhelmi clinics) and is scientifically proven to boost energy. Water fasting on the other hand is very stressful for the body, which is why we don’t recommend it. Very good job in explaining the benefits of "Fasting". I lost 18 kgs / 39 lbs doing no specific cardio ( NEAT... was my go-to form of moving more ) - weights and body weights ( because I have a desk bound job ) was my only form of specific exercise, and that was paired with OMAD. OMAD although not ideal or recommend by most for muscle preservation and no doubt muscle gains, it surprisingly worked for me on both counts. OMAD enabled me to lose the fat I did not want, without starving myself and I gained muscle. Caveat: the muscle gain was not great, but it was noticeable no doubt enhanced by having less fat covering it. When tracked - my intake comprised of 60% fat and 20% each from carbs and Protein. Which w/r protein came to about half of what is recommend, again not ideal but it worked our for me. That was then, I do things slightly different now, now that I am in maintenance mode. Thank you for uploading and sharing.
