Congrats for doing a great job of explaining everything you're doing. Wish you were based in Canada i'd take my car to your garage. Seem like a very honest mechanic.

Thank you! What a wonderful walk through of typical maintenance items. I like the process of taking care of everything whilst the oil drains. Just did air filter and secondary air pump today, and cabin air last week. Please keep these great vids coming!

tell you what, that solenoid is NOT easy to get to unless its a 3.6. It looks easy but what you can see there is the oil seal just - you have to do a LOT of disassembly to get it out!

Would like to see detailed, step by step, fuel filter and coil/spark plug replacement. I have a 1999 Carrera 4 and the fuel filter is hard to access. The cabin filter is on the right side(passenger side). What do you think of using iridium spark plugs? Thanks.

So this car belonged to my best friend who lives on the outskirts of Cambridge, I've been in it a few times. He bought it reasonably cheap as the engine had blown and then proceeded to spend quite a lot of money on it. He also did a driving day with Porsche so he could learn how to handle it properly. Good to see it's been bought by someone who is enthusiastic and looking after it.

Prices raises in Germany for the (First unloved) 996, expect them to raise more since small 996 delivers "old raw" Drive Feeling. Carefull with Replica weels, they can crack when Not from Well named Casting companies

The older 996's get, the dash display is less dependable - dipstick is the way.

Good series! Advise: whatever you do, do not follow the manufacturer oil change interval. Totally ridiculous at 15K between changes IMHO. 5K but no more than 6 K miles is what I do on my 03 C4S since I've bought it.

You are missing your coil shields which cover and provide that protection as well as hear protection from the exhausts.
@chriswharrier35712 жыл бұрын
Are the wheels 19s, the exhaust doesn't sound stock to me. I agree they need to be driven a long layup won't do them much good. I find the brakes on mine really good they do feel different to my BMW thou.
@alisterbrain29542 жыл бұрын
It's not stock. Its a sports exhaust.
