Wow, amateur day at the races. Strategy and patience out the window. Nice sound though. And these guys are headed for GF1 ?

5:32 I was watching from Pilgrim's Drop at Brands Hatch '82 and saw Chico Serra's accident at Hawthorn. The TV cameras missed it totally. Unfortunately so did my 8mm camera, which would otherwise be the only known footage of the incident.

The thing is that motogp 1, 2 and 3 , indycar, nascar, wec heck even formula 2 and 3 or any form of Motorsport has atleast one thing that really ensures that it isn't all drama and that is the racing Regardless what you think about f1 its in a weird spot because it wants to be natural racing and progression/ but is so afraid to touch any of its dna the result Is that the only thing that is consistently entairtaining is the drama because on track action is not anywhere to be found or very scares

As a long time competitor race tyres too often explode because teams run them too low on air. Some categories have nininum allowed pressures. Losing a wheel? Just about every one of those were centrelock wheels which is a mechanically poor way of attachment. From F1 down. Mandate safer 5 stud wheels and noone is worse off time wise. . Yes stub axles can and will still break, but with say 5" PCD wheels will break less often. Yet Nascar has stupidly gone that way. F1 cars that weigh near as much as a Nascar are going to spit ofmore wheels. Carbon fibre suspension components too to me are a worry

The 2 crashes at Monaco that I saw the most is the 2013 feature race, which was formally known as GP2, that I used to watch since the mid 2000's, and Sean Gelael's crash during the sprint race in 2018. Johnny Cecotto made a mistake at turn 1 in front of everyone else, and nobody could avoid him and got piled in. And Sean Gelael hit the curb and crashed hard into the wall on his own with no one else involved with him during the sprint race.

Possibly a combination of F2 adopting a new car and Team Principal Alfonso de Orléans being massively fed up with Bruno Michel.

Despite knowing from the title beforehand which category features in this compilation, hearing ''Perez leads'' at the beginning still sounded weird at first & the same with ''Palmer into the lead''. Gasly took some notes from Grosjean, who similarly caused Ricciardo to rear-end him towards the chicane three years earlier. I also noticed the Armco getting partly disjointed by the impact force. Corner-cutting was a clumsy attempt to save himself from arriving too fast to make the corner, though. Race engineers clearly forgot to remind ''no heroics into Sainte Devote please, we want to get out in one piece'' before the 2012 sprint & especially the 2023 feature race formation lap. Edit: I'm back for the Magnussen-Perez-Hulkenberg collision.
