Awesome video and MOC! I am currently shooting for 50 kph with my MOC. Right now I am at 45.85 kph but its a track car (inspired by the Audi R8 LMS GT2) not a speed built car.

I am shocked that you got 50 km/h with only lego! I thought 40 km/h was the limit. Currently, I am planning to make my own model, much lighter and smaller that you built. As I see, a lot of people will be compete for the fastest model!

I was just looking at the design and thinking why did u not connect both Buwizz's to the same output? You could have done and then attached instead of a heavy powered up motor you could have attached a power functions servo which is both lighter and cheaper? Great vid

Are you sure? Any Lego or Buwizz part can break at these speeds. Lego speedracing is an expensive hobby..

Try the 1/5 scale motorcycle wheel. Larger diameter = higher top speed? And buwizz makes rc motors? That’s awesome because the lego ones are hard to find without stripped gears, and when you do they’re like $80. Personally I use a modified M motor with a 380 brushed from a RC helicopter. Direct drive hits 12,000 RPM on the buwizz ludicrous setting. Haven’t tested raw speed, but it’s enough to power an rc car alone.

22.5v is probably pushing the limit of the motors. I have had them pulling 20w and things heat up pretty fast. I suspect their rated for ~25w with an operating voltage from ~6-24v. So the average of 7.4v limited to ~1.5a would be well well within a margin of safety an longevity. Remember these are meant to be "toys" so liability and all. I would not recommend doing this if the motors are going to be under any serious load. If my assumptions are correct 2 packs like this could allow the motor to draw (22.5x1.5) over 33w which could damage the motor or worse a lithium fire.
