Nice vid covering most of the basics! I'm running the BNR3071, XDi HPFP, XDi injectors, E60, built bottom end...definitely pulls like a freight train until 7k+ RPM! Def humbles plenty of expensive, high powered owners feelings 😅 For better cooling and oil capacity i did all the mods, Koyorad radiator/hoses, oil cooler, balance shaft delete, FL-400S oil filter, etc... i can run about 7.5-8qts of oil vs the stock 5.7qts. Of course the upgraded PCV plate, catch cans, DCTF diff fluid, High temp Motul brake/clutch fluid with SS lines, baffle plate/balance shaft delete, all three motor/trans mounts, etc... all feel very necessary to make sure the engines running efficiently when being pushed and am glad i didnt skip anything. Im not sure where I'm at currently but should be around 500whp. When telling new ST owners about the upgrades starting out...COOLING is the number one key... lower charge temps and oil temps keep the car happy for many miles! I still run the MotorCraft coolant but may swap down the road. On the exhaust...i run the SRS 3" cat-back off my cPE cat-less dp. The SRS is very loud on its own, so I added the vibrant resonator (summit equivalent for half the cost) and it drastically reduced drone. I get a lot of compliments on my exhaust and it has a lot of natural burble/crackles without being obnoxious. I love seeing the vids you put out...I like that there are still some STs out there ripping up the streets and hurting feelings. i will likely not be parting with mine any time in the near future as i've owned it from new in 2016 and did everything myself (minus the tuning). For the price, there is not another platform that can touch a built/big turbo Focus IMO.

Appreciate it man, i definitely agree with keeping things and efficient. I dont know if i got a video out explaining that for newbies but i used to on my old channel, i might make a new one on it. I having all the cooling mods you mentioned but i dont run that orange dexcool crap, that shit has 2-eha and i made a community post on this because it eats away at silicone and rubber over time, it gunks up and becomes acidic. I added water wetter to it once and the acidity ate away the coolant resevoir back in 2014. Wish i never deleted my old channel because it had alot of good content but this new version of the channel is committed to focus st stuff only and some rs things. I would also recommend getting m1-209a oil filter which would filter better than the fl400s and is a tad bigger. I run the Fram Endurance which is very high quality and not like the other versions they got, it compares to a amsoil filter in filtration and build quality. Id recommend using Zerex Asian Coolant , Peak Global heavy duty, peak global lifetime something that has no 2-eha in it because 90% of coolants got it like prestone, cheap knock off brands. My car on high boost is around 550-560 i feel like, 20psi its around 450-470 on full e85, stock fuel system with 4port 65lb injectors. I also got aem v3 watermeth which i ran from 2015-2019 for cooling, octane boosting, cleaning properties, i honestly think it prolonged my stock motor on big turbo.

I’ve been using amsoil 10w-40 on my stage 1 built motor since I broke in my motor just like you. It’s been great for the past 80,000 miles. But now that I hardly romp on my focus anymore since I have a baby, I think I’m going to use the much less expensive Mobil 1 10w-40 full synthetic. Gotta save every penny I can nowadays 🤷‍♂️

Greetings from Venezuela I have a 2015 focus st and I am looking for a number between 550whp and 600whp., I am working on a Moutune High performance 2.3L MRX stroker Focus St long block... what do you think of these engines??... do you see them working with reliably over a range of 550whp or do you recommend me to stay in some range below 500whp
@WhiteblurrST
@WhiteblurrST 7 күн бұрын
The mountune 2.3 mrx is a great setup for sure, i would not go over 550whp because over that number things like to break more often. If you stay around 500whp it would be even better and more reliable, you could have a kill map for 550whp but not use it only when needed.

@@WhiteblurrST And what turbo would you use for those looking for 500 or 550 whp... g30-660 or g30-770?... One of the things that interests me most is keeping the construction safe... It is a whimsical car for the weekends. and I would like not to have so much lag
@WhiteblurrST
@WhiteblurrST 7 күн бұрын
I would go with the g30-660 with .83 ar if you were sticking with a 2.0, it would get you to 500whp no problem, even 520whp im sure. The 770 spools really well also but its like 300rpm more lag on a 2.0 setup but with a 2.3 personally id go g30-770 because itll spool quick and have plenty of efficency left.
@WhiteblurrST
@WhiteblurrST 7 күн бұрын
Honestly you could just do the mountune mrx 2.0 setup and make the same 500whp or 550whp max no problem and itll cost less money.

What you think about head studs, rods and pistons, in a bnr71 st, id1050s 4 port aux. I want maybe a little over 500, but not much, and not sure if I should just go with the stage 2
@WhiteblurrST
@WhiteblurrST 8 күн бұрын
Can the bnr 71 make over 500whp efficiently? 1050s are definitely overkill, i have 65lb injectors and those are good til 600whp. If you want a little over 500whp id go callies h beam rods from summit since its cheaper, get yourself some diamond pistons, arp 625s v2 from ems or speed performance. Stay with stock main bearings, stock main bolts, get stage 2 cams definitely.
