Nice in depth video, but we all know if you want a strong engine, dont use any focus ST XR and RS engine :)

A ST block is good up to 850whp sleeved, 750whp not sleeved. The RS block is definitely junk but the best block is the MZR speed 3 block for whatever reason.

@@WhiteblurrST I run a used car department, in the 7 years I Sold 1 XR5 and 1 RS both came back with block gasket problems, both low KM hence I though lets retail it they would be OK, onee was driven by a lady with kids, and other was hardly driven, no mods. both drained the warranty account. and we need to supply the customer with a car to drive while repairs are done. I absolutely hatem LOL I think if anyone has one of these specially the 5 cyl. even if their not modding. open it up put a sleeve in it. but to try to get even anything close to 500 without sleeving, just by design, those floating bores/ your just asking for it. from what I can see the headgasket is not designed to take much with those bores. need something more solid or MLS I really dont know, but the standard gasket is designed for a flat block/head that will seal the whole surface.

Yea the 2.0 ecoboost and 2.3 ecoboost mk3 are totally different engine block designs than the 5 cylinder, idk what the 5 cylinders can handle stock block. We dont have those 5 cylinders here in America lol, the volvo s60r has it, they sound decent.

Amsoil.com i use 10w40 XL for 93 or Dominator Racing 10w40 or 15w50 for high hp e85 tunes. The filter i run is a mobil 1 m1-209a equivalent. Hope that helps

Transmission building is easier if you know how to do it, really all you need is upgraded bearings, forks, treated gears, better syncros and a better differential and dont use the dctf fluid which is water.
