if you haven't already figured out why the fitting won't lock in place it's probably because the seal was put on backwards at the factory, one side is flat and the other side is indented, the flat side turned towards the board won't seal, turn it over and it should stay on, that was my case anyway

Not exactly the same way I fish that glide. The slight jerks are about the same but the rest of the retrieval is different. And I don't think there is a right or wrong way. But what I did was a bit different.

Interesting how you put in at the ramp. I usually set up my yak at the top of the ramp then park my truck and then walk my yak down to the water. Might have to try your way. Still have to park the truck though. I assume you leave the yak on the ground while you park and pick up your truck?

@@castingacrosstexasfishing yeah I pretty much just park it in a parking spot and set my rods, crate, flag, GoPro mount, rod holder, and fish finder and then drive it down to the ramp still strapped up. Unhook the strap and set it down carefully by the water you can even use your kayak cart which would be a lot easier without all the lifting and will give you some leverage. Set it down and hook up your pedal drive and connect your fish finder to the battery and you are good to go!

I have a couple of these. Made by gomax. Chinese made like all other brands. Also one of mine is a jet drive. The spark plugs that come with these are hit & miss or simply don't hold up long. Installed better plugs and it seem to run much better. Alot people don't take the time to break these motors in. Also perform little to no maintenance. One I have is 4 yrs old. Jet drive is only a few months old. Use these on my ten foot Jon boat. Just me and no heavy load, 8mph.

Sorry to see you break the rod, but glad to see you were able to get that chunker in. Personally I've been using a medium soft action spinning rod when I fish any hard jerkbaits.

@@moriarty3490 laws vary in the big wide world outside your island. You don't need 3 chambers in the U.S. Not sure that's accurate for the UK, but you're the expert. From what I understand, you only need 2 chambers for touring SUP. He's on a pond so one chamber is legit.
