I caught some nice bass in there, there's usually some lurking on the North side. I'd recommend heading down to Walter E. Long. There's some hogs down there and it's close by.

Right on! I have caught some nice ones at Decker Lake a few weeks back. I just try to travel and fish places that are close to my job. fit that paddle board in my wife’s hatchback on the days that I don’t drive the truck more than 100 miles a day to work, and not to pay a fee to fish.

Yes I flipped it sideways when I was launching from that steep part of the bank on the south end of the lake by the tall grass. Fins got stuck in the mud and pulling them out is what caused it.
