Sorry to see you break the rod, but glad to see you were able to get that chunker in. Personally I've been using a medium soft action spinning rod when I fish any hard jerkbaits.

It either 8 or 10 lb fluoro. I cant remember for sure.

@@castingacrosstexasfishing gotcha maybe 10lb will work with the weight of jerkbait of not then I do good with 8lb as well for most of my finesse type setups.

@@parkerexplores yes I am with the Texas state guard I was deployed for the severe storms that took place in north Texas. And thanks it was a nice fish
