Love seeing miniature railways, unfortunately I’ve only seen them in Thomas and on KZbin. Ironically it’s kinda hard to take the MBTA for tourist or amusement trains, can’t go to Edaville and I’m too big for the amusement park, but they are realizing people will go for just the train though. Can’t go to the cape on a regular basis for the cape cod railroad, nor canobie, wish the T would fix that part of itself.

I'm just curious, now that you've ridden both recently, how is British railways disability access compared to MBTA? I see a big gap between that TemsLink train and the platform. Would like to visit Brittan, but that's very very very very unlikely. I'm visually impaired and MBTA is questionable depending on the service, because it's not exactly consistent, not that it matters to me because I know most of the subway, and Commuter rail by heart, bus not so much.
@royceontherails4 ай бұрын
@@trainandmore the gaps never tend to be a problem. Funnily enough one of my upcoming videos actually highlights ramp access which expands upon it to a degree, but there's a very sophisticated system in place to book assistance at a number of stations across the network, and not just the big ones (the equivalent of South Station, North Station etc.).

I wonder if you might consider giving a tour of South and North stations- a tutorial for greenhorns like myself that walks a rider from the Commuter rail platforms to the subways in the most direct way. Is there an inside subway entrance at South station? I always end up outside which seems rather silly. I think I've ridden the Commuter rail a grand total of 5 times being that the nearest station- Lakeville, is 22 miles away. We were promised commuter rail would arrive Fall of 23, then we were told Summer of 24, and now we are told Summer of 25. Like getting out of Casablanca- we wait- and wait- and wait....and wait. Meanwhile it would be nice to know how to get to where I'm going when I get there.
