want to make vr popular, make it affordable even the average jo can afford until then it's not going anywhere but dusty shelves

I try to first find the new games that have native VR in them before I go doing the mods needed to make them VR playable or improved. I also play the games as is before modding them. There are only certain few FPS games I go after and it is too bad that some of the games that have Unreal Engine 4 or 5 do not provide VR in the first place - as you say, laziness. Besides doing some of the Action shooter games, I also do SIM racing games which allot of them are already in native VR. I am just beginning to learn how to use the Injector mod app and try to find existing profiles to try first - I know it is a large learning curve. I agree it is not a true savior for gaming - I can see your direct point of the developers laziness to not make the games in VR in the first place. That said, I shall see how it goes using this injector and try it on games I already have before spending any money on new games - which is a handful of games. Thanks for your video information. I disagree, for me the main selling point aside from VR 🌽 was this mod... granted a few things like VR tennis, Half Life and Skyrim are must plays but enabling VR for games I already own strongly pushes adoption. There should not be VR and non VR games .. every game should have a native VR mode .... then you solve the issue

At this point they need to be selling the psvr2 for about 100 pounds. It’s really not worth anymore than that. Piece of crap that isn’t supported already. Time to just sell for cheap and move on.

I’ve always seen stand-alone and PCVR as the same as a phone and PC. I think PCVR will always be less popular than Meta’s Headsets but PCVR will eventually become more sophisticated and will be the number 1 choice for AAA developers

I absolutely love VR. But I think it has kind of settled down into an "enthusiast market", and honestly I'm okay with that for the time being. Affordability hasn't gone down to serve the average consumer, and due to this there really isn't a market big enough for AAA studios to make VR-exclusive games. And Meta Quest exclusives really only exist because Meta is pumping "life-support money" into the platform. It makes sense that mods has become the way forward on PC, and the community taking development into their own hands. It kind of reminds me of my buddy who is REALLY into flight sim. DCS in particular, he has bought flight sim peripherals for over 2000$ including tobii eye tracking. These things are EXPENSIVE and they do not sell like hot cakes, but there's still an enthusiast market for it and demand is high enough to keep the hardware manufacturer invested. Unfortunately it's low volume production, keeping prices high. And what's keeping DCS alive is the enthusiastic community and 3rd party DLC.

Quest 3 has given me incentive to use PCVR again from vive, vive pro, index, quest 2. There are over 100 plus quality pc games I can count are way worth playing.

Compared to some of the amazing titles out there Assassin's Creed is mid at best. I know it's opinion but come on man. I can think of at least 10 better games. Other than 5 actually a good list. 5 is tough, 10 is a good number. I have no clue why I am rambling about this on YT.

Big year for VR games, finally

Oh look, every single VR title is an FPS with waggle controls. This has been the death of VR. All the games are FPS clones of each other. Every VR game has to be in the FPS style and have motion controls where you pick stuff up. It's creatively bankrupt.

i hate solo VR.. i wanna do things with frends.. i dont play alone. i share my fun.

if you have a rtx 4090 and a x-box controller, I recommend pacific drive with UEVR injector. Also, This list is really good.

Yeah I’m with this guy. UEVR is not our savior for pcvr for stand-alone just neither. Think the real vr developers need to work on actual vr games and long play ones on pcvr. It’s gonna be impossible to play for hours in a standalone

at the start of the pandemic, I got a pc, a quest 1 then 2, went through 7 controllers and started doing PCVR and playing Echo Arena on PCVR and QUest VRML--- but I will never play VR again after zukerberg killed echo arena. F-meta

I mean, eventually people get bored of playing the same game over and over and over. For example the FPS vr community has pretty much been on a never ending death spiral of Pavlov,Onward,Contractors etc. It also doesnt help when VR game devs these days are absolutely horrible at scheduling their games, we have games that got announced years ago and every year it's "we plan on releasing this year!!" and then months if not years go by and the game still hasn't dropped. Feel bad for people who are dumb enough to donate to their patreon.

I'm not really interested in arena fighters, so I'm glad they added a campaign. 7 hours is a decent length, but I'd love it if the mod community expanded that or came up with their own fantasy campaigns, maybe with more RPG elements. There's clearly solid gameplay as a base for more experiences. Even if the team shifted away from developing the tech/mechanics and started making new DLC or games based off the foundations of B&S, that'd be cool. Good job with the review 👍

Yoooo was that lightning storm?

Just started last week and have a couple short to medium sessions under my belt. I'm just playing Nomad, but I'm not seeing anything here that isn't done better in DoE. Granted, I haven't gone too far into the game and I've not made up my mind by any means. But the solo only restriction of a game like this seems like a major setback. I'll keep checking it out and seeing what more there is. It does handle and look very good. But the lack of any progression or RPG element seems like another big downside. I may have to get the PCVR version and check out crystal hunt and see if that may provide the draw that I'm not yet feeling to return to the title. Of course that may also be due to me having so many new games that I'm checking out and feeling out what types of VR I spend the most time with. Only a couple months in, but so far the best experience I've had is No Man's Sky which I started when it released and have always loved. Despite it being single player and having ZERO real content at launch, At least flying around naming everything and carving faces in all the mineral deposits was fun and relaxing. I was amazed when I got it running on my setup. It's so much better in VR. It also may be a bias for me, as for the last several weeks I've been playing DoE with a friend that I started playing D&D with back in 1979.

Eh,,, i dont agree with asgaurds wrath two being standalone's best game. Sure the graphics looks cool and the different environments, bosses. But the game mechanics are still stuck in 2016 vr. You have to press a button to slide, jump, spring while riding, and a lot more things that cant be done unless you press a button. It also doesnt utilize vr in its design. Like flatscreen games There is only one way to get to the chest, item, boss or whatever it is. There are a lot of vr games on standalone that actually acknowledge their existence in vr unlike asguards which feels like a flat screen game ported to vr
