Wasn't sold on Bischoff turning heel at this point. They had their managerial role already filled by Dibiase. I never understood why they needed to go with Bischoff as a figure head for the nWo.

i had issue 1 no autobot and decepticon logos were in the top corner. Optimus has pointy ears. Was this an early image or a variant. Optimus is actually in the Top under Marvel and the bottom was Spider-Man

Quite a few blaring discrepancies during this presenration. One of the interesting ones is, Six giant Zentraedi? iirc it's only the Pilot, Dolza, Britai, Khyron & Exedore, unless they planned more at this point, they only released those 5. I assume maybe they planned the one guy that was always with Khyron, that or maybe Azonia. The innitial wave is a little different, Scott is in his riding armor, not the Cyclone armor shown in the artwork (though the riding armor figure dose have parts of the cyclone armor in its design for some reason). Rand did not have his casual outfit, but instead the same body tooling of Scott. Neither Roy, Max or Minmay where released in their casual wear, Miriya only releazed in her Zentraedi outfit in the 1993 rerelease, same with Minmay's dress, And Lunk is one of the rarer figures. We've got alternate card artwork (Lifted i belive from Macross's opening animation) which would be reillistrated for the final cardbacks. (Also, Hi Barbeque from G.I.Joe). The Cyclone featured in the artwork is Lancer's Blowspear/Blowsperior, which wasen't released. The mockup Box & Artwork also depict specifically lancer and his Cyclone as well. Though that figure would release in his casual outfit, not the reused Riding armor body. The Battlepod's colors are unfinished (it's a testshot, potentially a prototype, so color differences can be excused). Another G.I.Joe cameo, Wild Weasle (packaged with the Cobra Rattler). The Invid shock trooper i belive has additional articulation not present in the final figure. BIGGEST discrepancy is by far, the Transforming Veritech Fighter! Innitially planned to be able to transform to Guardian mode, the final figure was scaled back, though elementso f the transformation are still present (though now solid) in the final figure. Fan liner jet & the Nyan nyan chinese resteraunt where never released for the dolls line.

Curious. These days "security" are wrestlers coming up through the ranks of a local promotion for tv shows. These look like real cops. I cant tell for sure, but are they armed or are their holsters empty when they enter the ring? It was crazy back then. Fans were constantly trying to get in the ring, and I thought if the wrong fan got in the ring during a scrum, maybe they would go for policemans service gun.

I still to this day don't understand what exactly Piper was exposing about Bischoff. Like in Kayfabe how did he reveal that Bischoff was working for the nWo? Can someone explain

Because Bischoff was saying that he was going to do whatever it takes to get the Piper-Hogan match signed, including going to Portland (where Piper lives). I believe Bischoff even "reported" over telephone from Portland the previous week. Anyway, Piper revealed in this segment when asking him about the flight and about his driveway, that Bischoff had no clue and actually wasn't doing anything to get the match (the trip to Portland was a lie) since he was, in fact, actually working with Hogan and the nWo, who were constantly calling Piper a coward, yet absolutely wanted no part of Piper. So it's revealed here that Bischoff was working against WCW and for the nWo.

The head of WCW joining the nWo was one of the worst moves WCW could've made. The eqiuivalent is Abraham Lincoln supporting the Confederacy. It made zero sense.

@@therealjd4life I get that but the execution was way off. Roddy Piper continuously screaming over Bischoff then Nwo quickly appears to give him a beat down while Eric watches. It was easy to tell that Eric was aligned with the before Hogan even made the announcement. They could’ve given Piper a bit more time to expound on Eric lying about going to his home and questioning his allegiance to the NWO because he didn’t really reveal him as a member as the title suggests, Hogan did after it was already obvious. Bischoff could’ve even revealed to Piper himself with revealing the Nwo shirt & flashing that arrogant smile before they came out. The beat down and reveal was just premature to me.
