Was this a syndicated TV series, or a series of VHS tapes?

VHS tapes, but it's clearly meant to be like a pilot or proof of concept for a TV show. It's certainly formatted like one, anyway. I'm guessing they started shopping it around the exact second the bottom fell out of the comic market.

In the last one they said they were going to the Marvel offices. Did that ever happen?

If so, I have not come across it yet. I suspect it never happened; a few issues in, the magazine drops a lot of pages and undergoes a format change or two, so packing in a VHS tape may no longer have been feasible.

If thats the case, i have to imagine there was footage shot that had to be scrapped because of financial issues at the book. The 90s really were the best of times and the worst of times.
