How will using these fans affect humidity, won't it dispel humidity by increasing airflow? I understand the concept for desert reptiles and such, but what about high humidity species. Won't it be difficult to keep it humid enough?

We use an additive that has made our beardie more active and better colored. But still, bathing a beardie kind of depends on how often it's held. I would recommend it if your beardie hasn't pooped. But recommend it at least once a month. We also never put water on her head. She is now 7 years old and doing very well.

I have a female leo for almost 27 years now (yes, it's the same leo, she's around 30 y.o. now), and recently I got a male gecko which used to be a breeder but then ended up in hands of my friend, then passed to me. Initially I expected them to be pretty agressive to each other, since my female gecko might be wild captured and unlikely having much social experience, and the dude is used to only meet females for breeding. But those two surprised me. At first they were living for a few days separated by a glass. But when it seemed like they're interested in each other, I've set them in same enclosure. The male started by suggesting sex right away, but he backed off immediately when she returned the tail gesture. Then after breef communication with licks, they just moved on to occupy hidings and that's about. They're right next to my bed, so I can see them being active at night. And they aren't agressive *at all*. Once in a while the dude wiggles his tail, but only once, and if there's no response from the female, he moves on from that subject without any pressure. I'm thinking it could be indiviual triats, and some males might be more aggressive than others. But this one is as chill as they get. So I honestly see no reason not to cohab them, they seem to enjoy each other's company. If anything, I can separate them within seconds.

But.. in my gecko group, the female is the boss, the other two are sleeping and that female walks just over them, but if they would climb on her, she wouldn’t be happy. But that has never happened yet.

I have a white-and-yelllow het eclipse het normal jungle female, a carrot-tail baldy super hypo female, and a bold stripe tremper albino male, and one of these females has a baby but I don’t know who the mom is, he has spots, is orange yellowy and has an unique pattern, one of my females (the carrot tail one) has absolutely no pattern except on her mouth. So I am thinking it is the white and yellow one, Lizz

Hey, I know you posted this 3 years ago but I was just wondering if I could get some advice - I’m getting a 5x2x2ft viv for my amelanistic corn snake with red eyes so I think she is or is partly albino; I can’t find Information on if any adjustments to UVB strength are needed? I’d really appreciate any help!

I'll have to say, you guys have my full admiration. So much knowledge and even rmore passion about these animals and conservation. It's a breath of fresh air to hear you guys talk with your heart, so eloquent and educated. Thank you! Also these eyed lilzards .. gosh how beautiful are they? I 'just' keep green iguanas, but if I ever come to a piece of land, I'd happily keep a few of those species outdoors. Simply beautiful two videos (part 1 and 2).

instead of silicone why not use pu foam spray and it's faster and you can remove unwanted ones.. then apply silicone and sprinkle it with bark powder to make it look more natural.. then add the moss and plants

Thanks for this information, I have kept my leopard geckos together as well, and they have done very well. They are females they have 5 hides above and 2 underground hides in a 4×2×2. They spend time together and apart. I never have had an issue. They climb the logs and dig in the substrate. If they are happy, so am I. Thanks for the video. Your enclosure is lovely 😍

So I never had a problem. And now I have a monstrously huge female leopard gecko living alone. She grew up with another female gecko, but that gecko was already 10/when I introduced her as a juvenile into the terraruim. Well the elderly gecko.passed on. I thought. Fine time to get her a new tank mate ( it's a 55 gal.tall.I have personally designed, so plenty of room, lots of hiding plaves, etc) Well she in all honesty tried to murder VIOLENTLY the geckos I tried to home with her. So. She lives alone. While the 2 full grown adult geckos I got for free...live together continually fine in the tank I also got for free. I have just put in far more gecko appropriate items as the previous owner had nothing but a water dish and a rock in there. So I'm up to 3. None look the same because they are obviously different colour attributions that breeders try to attain. The huge lady is a fancy, she is brightly colored, deep green, with dark spots. The small girl is the traditional look everyone knows and loves, And the male is a lemon gecko (I think that's what they call it) When the body is yellow and black spot but the tail is pure yellow. The 2 are recovering from the beating they took ...It may take 2 -3 sheds to.completely heal where they were hurt. So yah. Live and learn.

I felt so bad with my baby corn snake, when I first got him and was handling him to get used to me he was simply so terrified. I hated it. When I tell you that man was not only fast, but could legit jump, without coiling his body up like a spring, this man could jump. Such sporadic behavior, made me believe I was doing everything wrong with my first snake. When in reality, it just took time. He grew out of it now he is a very docile, sociable adult. I love him so much. Now that I look back, I call it their scared attitude phase, “ I’m just a little noodle PLEASE” so cute!!

PS do not be afraid of having shaky hands, when doing research, I heard that it was so bad to have shaky hands when building a bond with your baby snake. I naturally have/had bad anxiety, but loved my boy, I was just naturally more shaky all that time. I was worried me being shaky, would also create issues with our trust, but it didn’t. He learned me and I learned him❤

As I’m going through the video I’m just gonna add more for my perspective. I’m having my first baby snake, who was a corn snake! He was pretty docile as a baby bite/ strike wise, he still has never bit me. So I don’t really have much tips on that. But I have heard the snakebite. It’s nothing compared to a dog bite. And I’ve had my right index finger, almost amputated because of a Rottweiler. That’s what made me so confident and picking up any of my snakes no matter they’re attitude😂
