Hello. I just watched your review of the Jabra Enhance Pro 20 Micro Pro with charger. I have been wearing Kirkland brand hearing aids for 7 years and was always satisfied with their quality and service. But now I have decided to go for rechargeable hearing aids and have decided after also listening to your review of Philips models, to buy the Jabra. I will get back to you after a month of wearing Jabra with an update. Than you so much.

I have Oticcon Real hearing aids. The last 2 times I tried to replace Minifit filters they will not pop out. Had to use my nail to wrench it free. New filter went in ok. How can I get the Minifit filter to pop out easily next time?

This is all so frustrating for my Dad. He's got a prescription set and they're terrible. He's so burned out on the process of getting fitted again that it's difficult to get him into the clinic again. I was hoping for something inexpensive and easy to help him. I guess there really isn't a shortcut to all of this. Good review. Thank you for putting this up and saving us more frustration.

Great review, thanks. I just received my 3dme and am surprised to find the noise floor to be very high, even with the ambient mics turned off. Have you noticed this in your tests? There is a bothersome hiss even when used as a regular iem. Let me know. Thanks

8000 hertz was my tone, almost at the point where my hearing stops hearing the tones. It's like an annoyingly high-pitched electronic whine, or having a constantly shrieking ultrasonic cat-scarer in my left ear and it not only stops me from sleeping but I feel frustrated to the point of nearly having panic attacks and I have to get up out of bed and have a walk around the house or go outside for a while until I've calmed down! I'm pretty sure this kind of thing would drive some people to commit suicide.

Phillips behind the ear rechargeable. Had the battery type, tiny batteries are a pain. Rechargeable is fantastic. In the charger at bedtime and back in my ear in the morning. More then a full day of used with this charging arrangement. Phillips has been great so far, I'm on the 4th set, make sure your costco provides loaners. As a medical first responder I don't have the luxury of being with out the.

I recently purchased the Jaba Enhanced Pro from Costco. The person to person experience was wonderful. Professional, caring and thorough. Previously I used the Signia Styletto 7 hearing aids which I bought on line and loved. I would put them in first thing in the morning and virtually forget that I had them on until that night when I removed them. When I went in to pickup my new hearing aids I was given a 40 minute final fitting setup and scheduled a follow up in two weeks. I walked out extremely impressed with the high quality of sound, yet by the third day I was ready to return them. Some Noises were so loud they would actually hurt my ears. For example wind noise, golf clubs rattling around in the golf cart. Even the old creepy stairs in my house were unbearable first thing in the morning. But my biggest complaint was the fact that at times, suddenly, it was like I had cotton in my ears. The same feeling you get going up in elevation just before your ears pop. Jabra has an excellent app and through trial and error I was able to adjust for these conditions. But constantly adjusting my settings was not what I was looking for. 10 days later during my follow-up visit I addressed all of these problems with Mathew my technician. After listening to all my concerns followed by a couple more tests returned with open domes for me to try. I was in heaven! Today I put them in first thing in the morning and almost immediately forget they are there. I do believe, no, I know, that they actually work better than my earlier generation Signia. A couple things to note. The sound quality while streaming music or talking on your phone is very good with the open domes, but it is definitely better with closed domes. It is louder and crystal clear. But for day in day out use, under virtually any conditions, for me the open domes are a winner. I really do love these hearing aids!

I had the older model and traded in for the 20s and they’re definitely a step up not only in size as they are smaller but in battery life and functionality as a hearing aid. I would like to tune them up myself as the Costco nearest to me is 2 1/2 hours drive to Sevilla Spain from my beach house by Atlantic and Portugal. I refer to this however, a “first World problem“ as these are quite an improvement. Life is getting better.

Can you do a review of earplugs that can be used on a daily basis for those sensitive to noise but still need to talk to people? Such as at a party, at the grocery store, work..etc.
@HearingTracker
@HearingTracker 3 күн бұрын
Thanks for your comment. Musician's earplugs are actually the best plugs for what you are describing as they will reduce volume but keep speech clearer than other types of plugs. Etymotic Research ER20xs, Eargasm Hi-Fi, and Loop Experience Plus will all work great for parties and general use where both sound reduction and clarity are desired. - Steve

Going on Day 5 of my new Jabra enhanced 20s. I've been wearing in the ear hearing aids for over 20 years and this is my first over the ear model. I love that I can stream music and video from my phone I'm sure I can get that in most over the ears now though. Sound is okay. I'm not going to lie, but I expected a huge improvement and I just didn't get that. I find myself using the volume up and down constantly along with the app custom settings to find the sweet spot for me. I have a much harder time hearing on my work IP phone than I did with my ITE aids, I can't seem to find the best settings for that. My loss is severe to profound and I've asked the Costco fitters if I will need a custom mold, on two occasions, they said I should wait, and keep with the domes first. I held off on the custom molds but I really think I will need it. If the 9050s come out before the end of the June I will try that one first otherwise just purchase the ear molds for the Jabras and hopefully that does the trick

I'm currently trying to decide between the Resound Nexia 9 or the Jabra Pro 20's. I'm getting a little runaround from Costco (they screwed up my hearing test and refused to admit it) so I'm wondering how the hearing aid themselves will function. I understand the risk in service but I'm also trying to understand why the Resounds are almost 4 times more expensive if the Pro 20's are identical to the Nexia 9's. Are these really identical?

Great video. The Hear Advisor website is confusing me in that it says that really none of the hearing aides tested are good in noisy environments regardless of price. How am I supposed to pick one when this is a huge problem for me? The only good ones are Sony, Sennheiser earbuds! Don't want to wear those the night I'm going to a bar or restaurant. Curious to hear your opinion on it. Thanks.

I would not trust Philips as a medical device manufacturer after the enormous disaster with their CPAP machines including design, recall and resolution. People were breathing in cancerous plastic foam particles while sleeping with their CPAP machines, so they were FDA recalled not to use. Replacement machines of other brands were very hard find and were very expensive. It took Philips more than a year to replace or repair their machines. And the new machine had a overheating issue. Philips is a Dutch company!

Philips Hearing division is a different company. Philips (the Dutch one) divested it a long time ago. The hardware used for HearLinks is the same as in Oticons and is made by Demant which is just licensing Philips's name.
