Skateboarding is not popular at all. I get that in the US everyone stood on a board at some point in their lives wether they ended up liking it or not, but in the rest of the world its extremely rare. Pro skaters that are starting to lose it should come up with something other than skateboarding companies because its not a good business, and its already taken by the big ones. In Argentina every skate shop sells Santa Cruz and Indy. Skateboarding cant be your only skill, you'll end up sucking scientologists d's for the rest of your life.

If they wanna grow skateboarding they should do the, Japanese ninja warrior show for skateboarding, but in the US. That show rules and it shows more about what’s cool about skateboarding. That it’s fun and artistic kind of whacky. This idea of making skateboarding like the NFL is not in the spirit of what I think about skateboarding

I love skateboarding. i also love rollerblading, bmx, scootering, mtb, downhill, slide, board dance, long freestlye, popsicle freestyle, heater skating, snowboarding, snow skates, skiskates... x sports is bigger than just a skateboard. sure alot of people hardcore niche down into skating, but like myself there is still a large community that loves X sports on a whole. we should support the scene by not hyper nicheing and segregating communities. im sure ive said some dumb shit here, there, in my content. im sure people will disagree with this, and think that idealizing a fantasy that probably wont happen, is a better idea.
