Another thing about tyshawns management of king is that he got an artist to make a board graphic for him and promised to pay him in exposure and not money but when he posted the board the artist had to get his attention because he didn’t even bother crediting. He did eventually credit but def changed how much I actually like tyshawn.

This is correct, the only exception is if your shop has a legacy of high quality skaters, for example the shop I work at is the same shop that Mason Silva came from along with Hannah Tallman and kinda Logan Kirshak (he’s a good friend of the shop and we all love him here), and even then they only gave us hockey for the first 3 years and we barely are allowed FA graphics

I’ve switched from FA/Hockey to Polar. They fulfill the same shape and feel of the decks without all of the cringe graphics and the try hard image. That being said, I do think Curren and Jake Anderson on FA with Louie is a great move for the brand, especially if they put out consistent footage as a team.

I hardly watch skate videos anymore and don’t buy boards based on who’s name is on the bottom of it. I did that when I was a kid. The older I’ve gotten I buy boards based on quality and shapes.

the long 2013's of skateboarding has come to an end, and everything is in flux: Kader on vIolEt, Tyshawn on KiNg, Louie on FA, Durao (Karen & Janet) on Skate Mental (lol). Gifted Comedy Whiner's tautology of the Slap crystal ball is still entertaining, but ultimately a dead end. Core Woodshops are crying out for board orders, but bareback is oversubscribed, and Dwindle is dead in the water. It's almost as if the US economy is on life support (running on prison labour and arms manufacturing for wars it started), and no "entrepreneurs" can start a board company, and kids born in 2013 are not into skating and think skateboarding is either dull podium athletics for Japanese girls, or some US kook hillbomb trustafarian doing a roll on grind wallie hippyjump firecracker insidepooflip fakie tre flop into a curb cut for likes. I can't blame the kids. The Skateboarding industry is just going to have to wait until people born in the 90s-2000s start families and their kids are like what the fuck is all this skate paraphernalia around the house and just "go skate".
