Honestly, even though we need some rain for the leaves to not be so dry, I prefer no rain atm because I think almost all of us up here in WNC are a bit PTSD with rain/thunderstorms. Plus precarious areas for more landslides. I know we have to get rain at some point, but not heavy rain. And creeks and rivers are not where they are suppose to be.

When will you do your winter weather outlook for 2024-2025? Or, will you since we have had 2 consecutive snowless years?

We had one of these. It was much more trouble than it was worth & had issues all the time. Now I just use a dog genie w/the bags & have no issues.

Also very curious to see your night view with these. They don't have great reviews on Amazon and even got slapped with the "Frequently returned item" label. I would think 15fps wouldn't be enough, plus the FAQ says you can't do continuous recording on the battery models.

I do not like the lies and/or the bad information with bad intent.. but for the most part if it is an outlier you can see through that. If it sounds fantastic or over the top... it probably is b$. Unfortunately it is part of the world we live in. Have a healthy amount of skepticism, do a little digging. Typically one can sort out what is going on. Thanks for the update...

There's an unofficial spreadsheet that's updated regularly with the names of the missing as reported by the people looking for them. If those individuals had been located, it would have been updated. The total missing is over 1,000.

It's NOT an "update" - just another cover-up. "Poopooing" hypothermia deaths as false. Won't address the numbers - no data - but WILL call you out on the "no hypothermia" deaths because they HAVE happened.

Your death numbers are ridiculously low based on the police and local reporting I’ve watched since the beginning. Perhaps the non locals in campgrounds- now gone -are not included.

I watched a video of a gentleman walking up to where the beginning of the mudslides started and he says that it's not over. There's video evidence of a possibility of another one as another rain comes along. 😮😢

Over 150 reported deaths in SC from Helene. It could easily be 5 times that in NC or more.

Are we suppose to ignore the stories of bodies and parts lodged in the mud? You claim 12 people missing?

The numbers are not low. They are high. But it takes time to identify bodies. It will be awhile til we know, but we will figure it out. I would guess at least 2000 people died in NC and many more animals died.
