The vault being too low worked on Raducans favor. She was one of the smaller Gymnists there being 4'11. It affected her a lot less than someone like Khorkina who is 5'5. So why are people on here boasting that she overcame it when in reality gave her an unfair advantage?

AUSTRALIA, competing in the Olympics, was the most dangerous place to be that night! EVERYTHING was set-up WRONG! It's a miracle careers weren't _ended_ this day/night. Multiple athletes had already been reporting something off with the floor as well as that horrifically low vault.

I just don’t understand why they didn’t just stop it and had a do-over for these athletes. These girls trained so hard to be an Olympian but some group of assholes who are clearly not up to par to Olympic standards just didn’t do their work properly. The decision to just continue is just not something you expect in the Olympic games. Sports should always be fair and safe.

Should have immediately stopped the competition, once the initial complaint was made. Since a problem was found they should have let all vaulters who had already gone go again. Then resume the competition.

Like almost every persons hands nearly missed the horse!🤦‍♀️ THIS should be the number 1 reason they need to coach the athlete on “always doing ur best” and making sure they are “mentally strong enough to handle the competition” I’ve said it once and I will say it again...If Khorkina wasn’t such a sore looser and cared about doing the best she could instead of focusing on her pride and ego with the attitude of “even if I didn’t earn gold I’m to good for silver” causing her to give up and fall on the bars. I’m not trying to be mean but unfortunately I firmly believe this was a rightfully just outcome for Khorkina🤷‍♀️...

These were the worst games I’ve ever seen. What a fiasco. But I’m very happy for Andrea. She was a firecracker!

Back in the days when literally 10 girls has a shot at the olympic all around gold and a fall can kick you out off the medals. This is more competive and much more exciting!

If I had been Khorkina or Ray after all they had been through on that terrible evening, instead of saluting the judges after the last exercise I would have shouted at them: Go to hell!

The Australian Olympic committee should be ashamed of themselves for their ineptness with the equipment...these women and men trained their entire lives for usually one chance only to have the equipment fail...This AA final should have been cancelled and redone...
