The beautiful part of the 1980s was that you could use it to explain any craziness that just made no sense whatsoever when it came to a lot of things. Why exactly are they dressed like pink canaries and making ridiculous faces in an outdoor shower while swinging from Vines above a plastic volcano? It's the 1980s.. that's why

English obviously is not your first language, so of course you don't understand the song or the part of the world they were singing about. Thin Lizzy were one of the best rock bands of the 70s. They made their money from live performances, Phil Lynott being a fantastic front man who knew how to entertain. I found your reaction to be extremely disappointing. You had the wrong attitude even before the music started. An open mind is vital when doing reaction videos.

The "Boys" are 2-fold: 1) the soldiers returning from Vietnam and 2) tough characters who formed a gang in Manchester called the Q.S.G (Quality Street Gang) Hi Mira-J🥰 When this song dropped back in 1976 it was like a nuclear bomb went off. The song was everywhere and an instant classic. We'd never heard anything quite like it. Phil Lynott was an amazing talent whose life tragically ended only 10 years after Thin Lizzy exploded on to the scene with this song. He died in 1986 from pneumonia and heart failure brought on by septicemia. He was only 36 years old. RNB

@@itsmira-j I'm really sorry to hear that. A couple of thoughts... Never let anyone tell you what you can enjoy. If it's not going to be popular, fair enough, don't post it but enjoy it for yourself either way. That said, it doesn't waste much disk space to record it and make the decision afterwards. Whether you do or not, I'm certainly enjoying the couple of your reactions I've found so far, so do what makes you comfortable. Good luck.

Great reaction and thanks for sharing. It becomes even more amazing when you realize the guitarist recorded this entire album in his basement. Tom Scholz played acoustic guitar, 12 string acoustic guitar, electric lead guitar, electric rhythm guitar, electric bass and organ. Brad Delp sang lead vocals, backup vocals, harmonies and layered his own voice. Sib played drums. You hear basically three people on this recording. The people you see playing were hired after the album was mostly recorded and taught how to play it live. They are amazing musicians. But the debut album is really Tom, Brad and Sib with tiny pieces here and there of others. The next song on the album is 'Piece of Mind' then 'Foreplay/Longtime'. This song was the first song we all heard from them. It was their debut song on their debut album. It is worth listening to this album front start to finish. There is not a bad song on it, some are legendary like 'More than a feeling' all are great. Keep sharing what you love to do and you will never work a day in your life. :)

Not "lip-synced", but live video used to make a MTV video along with the studio recording minus a verse and chorus. Most music videos were to promote the album and studio recording, so that's what they contain. This was released in 1976 before MTV, so no "produced" video was made, so they took some concert footage.

I saw Boston at the indoor Oakland Auditorium in May of 1979. The band was promoting their 2nd album 'Don't Look Back. Great show. I remember the Pipe organs pipes nearly reached the ceiling. I remember drummer Sib Hashian having a hi-hat on both sides of his kick drum!! I remember seeing the back of bassist Fran Sheehan nearly the entire concert. The band was outstanding. Most of all I remember being Gob smacked with Lead vocalists Brad Delp. I've seen nearly every Top Tier band and Vocalist from the 1960's through the 1980's. The only 2 singer I would say matched Mr. Delps live voice was the brilliant Roy Orbison and the indominable Freddie Mercury. That's great company. I would suggest "Smokin'" as a possible follow up Boston reaction. Take care Mira-J, RNB

@@0cosmic Being a teenager through most of the 1970's and living in the San Francisco Bay Area for concerts....was epic. All my friends (me included) had older brothers who drove and had their own cars. Somebody was always going to the next "Day on the Green'. We naturally tagged along. Tickets were usually available and relatively inexpensive. My first concert was George Harrison in late 1974. I was barely 15. Went with, you guessed it, my older brother and his girlfriend. The Oakland Coliseum and Oakland Auditorium were virtual Mecca's for the Greatest bands that ever were. I saw more artists than I will ever remember.
