This song was written by the bassist John Deacon (seen in the video playing the electric piano). He wrote the song for and about his wife Veronica when they were newly married- after all, ideally your spouse IS your best friend in the world, who will stand with you forever. Well, John and Veronica got married on January 18, 1975 - and are STILL together (49 years next month!) … they have 6 children and who-knows-how-many grandchildren now. And they are still each other’s Best Friend of All.

nice one, I will say...
