Hi Lizzy, i jusr wanted to say, don't know if you considered it or if you already had the surgery, but i thought maybe they wanted to do the leg surgery just for money, i mean maybe you don't actually need it. I don't know, just a thought. God bless you.

Also, maybe the lion's mane supplement from paul stamets could help. It's for the nervous system. I only trust his brand, he studied that consuming the wrong part of the mushroom can have the opposite effects. I took it for memory loss and i'm quite sure it helped a lot. I don't know if it would help, just thought i'd mention it

Hi lizzy, I too was diagnosed with opsoclonus myoclonus syndrome in 2021. I was in work one day and noticed I was having difficulty with performing fine motor dkills such as holding a pen to write. Next I felt dizzy and off balance balance. I went to the hospital and my CT scan identified a mass that was malignant. However, The lab test were negative for the antibody. I always wondered if this syndrome was triggered by covid or another illness I experienced. Its now 3 years later and the neurological symptoms have subsided about 80%. (tremors, imbalance, light sensitivity, snd dizziness) I perform vestibular exercises. I hope your symptoms also improve. I will pray for you. God bless you.

I wish you all the best and thanks for documenting your journey. Also, with bangs you're just like lily collins, I think people tell this you all the time but still ahah so cute

Dear heavens this is a lot. I found you just doing some research trying to figure out what the heck is wrong with me. Your symptoms look and sound just like mine. It’s no fun. I can’t even get a diagnosis besides anxiety, all I know is it started after a car accident. I think possibly I got something called CRPS from the injury which then causes the immune system to attack the immune system. I figure I’ll pass along what’s been really working for me. Got deep inside my head using meditation (the journey was very painful) and found a pathway to where the place where the symptoms come from. I’ve been able to reduce my symptoms quite substantially. All the way to where I can tell what direction means again. It seems whatever unconscious process that’s damaged, I’m able to bypass it and move in a different way. My tremor is almost 100% gone now and balance is starting to come back. I can tell my brain is starting to skip over the faulty wiring and learn to work correctly again. Passing this along in case you have the same problem as me with doctors. Whatever comes about, know that there’s always more healing than science knows about waiting for you!

For the anesthesia bit, they should have stopped. Signing a medical consent does not mean that staff have permission to continue after consent has been withdrawn. If you have the desire/energy, filing complaints can help this from occurring to others. Wishing you continued success in recovery!

Rituxan (or rituximab) is a monoclonal antibody, which is more accurately classed as an immunotherapy rather than conventional made-from-mustard-gas type chemotherapy. But it's used to treat cancer and cancer treatments all get lumped together and called "chemo" sometimes. Plus it is cytotoxic, like chemo. So whether it's chemo or not mostly depends how pedantic you want to be. I hope that is somewhat enlightening??

I really admire how mentally strong you stay throughout your treatment! As someone who has a rare genetic disorder I can understand that it can be very frustrating at times to have to go through all the uncertain treatments and recovery. I can only tell you that it will always get better, and hope that it all gets better for you soon!
