i just want to say that this video makes it obvious what a masterful climber Lizzy is (compared to the typical hobbyist climber who works low end 5.12s after 10 years of climbing): so light on the wall despite lacking strength, and in place of muscle memory your mind is telling your muscles all the right things - not sure whether that means some kind of deeper-than-muscle memory stored in the body or in the brain or soul or what exactly...

I appreciate your light hearted take on all this and your positive attitude. One of our family members went through undiagnosed TTP, so I've witnessed first hand the testing, plasma exchanges, and fallout of that and can truly appreciate your demeanour and outlook when faced with something rare with very little information. I find climbing is such a mental game and resilience goes a long way, one reason (of many) why I think I'm not a great climber. I wonder if this is a glimpse into why you mastered it so well, and some of your history, new and old, around climbing. The challenge is both the biggest hurdle and the biggest motivator, and maybe now you are re-appreciating the challenge again in your new vessel. I truly hope you can find some answers and continue to improve, I look forward to more updates. Thanks for keeping positive and bringing everyone along.

Hi Lizzy, long time follower here! I was shocked to see this happen to you, your videos have always inspired me to get out climbing! I just got out of the hospital myself last week and was in there for 3 days, it was horrible and I can only imagine what it was like for you after being ultra healthy to how you have suffered since! Your positivity has not surprised me in these recent videos and if anyone can put this behind them I'm sure it's going to be you, I wish you all the best from here in England x

I have had a whole slew of various medical issues some unrelated some related. I have benign essential tremor and can respect fully how much you are fighting to use your hands. My tremor isn’t in my lower body but in my hands and my neck and head have a tremor which gets worse with any stressor whether physical or startle or environmental stress, and also just fatigue. I’m wondering if the steroid based fatigue is exacerbating your tremor aspect of this mystery illness and causing more symptoms to look bigger due to the no sleep and neuro/mental effects of steroids. Sounds like you’ve been to hell during diagnosis and are still exploring options but you are more stabilized and working with what you have going on now day to day. I admire that you have the will to allow the tremor to get worse in order to climb and rehab what you have now. I imagine the nursing and PT/rehab experience gave you a lot of support and you could see improvements so you are willing to endure the increase in tremor to enjoy climbing. I just learned of you via my Instagram feed and was very interested in the aspect of tremor onset and treatment along with the rest of your symptoms. Just dealing with nausea and dizziness while having a tremor and climbing is hero status to me. I’m rooting for you and hoping they can comb out more finely what else can possibly help and increase your functionality and quality of life. Your story is very inspiring. The fact that you are drawing with dealing with a tremor is amazing. I have an art degree and lost a ton of dexterity and it frustrates me to no end. I just wanted to say that it was brave and cool of you to show your drawing and to work on your manual dexterity. I probably should do the same. I can’t even sign my name anymore without frustration and it’s so hard. I am sending all the strength your way and your dog is adorable. I have a sweet pupper in my life also and she makes so much difference in my quality of living. Sending big giant hugs and hoping the post steroids sleep is deep and sweet.

I remembered i commented last that i wanted to see you climb again, I must say I didn’t expected it as soon as this, congrats to you, i see that you seem to shake more after your climb, do you feel like is the tiredness that make you shake or the excitement ? I mean do you find that your mood affects the shaking ? Keep up the good work, I hope to see your progress again on the next video. ❤

It is the physical exertion that really triggers the tremors for me, but I do seem to shake more when I get really excited as well!

in your video you said that no one knows why you became sick. before you left for South Africa did you receive c19 vaccine? although many people have not shown reactions to the shot other people have experienced major autoimmune disorders. if you received a vaccine it must be considered as I cause.
@lizzy.ellison2 жыл бұрын
It is something that has been considered. It just doesn’t look like the vaccine has any relation to what’s going on for me.
@spreadpeace31082 жыл бұрын
Well people get sick sometimes, thats how it works and of course this is sad. While encountering a new virus that caused and still causes millions of infections, it sure is more likely that there are more virus related cases in the future. Same goes for vaccine related issues. Yet you can't and won't be 100% sure. If there was a significant "linear" rise of cases after vaccinations, it would definitely be considered more. But there isn't a link to the vaccines. People tend to fall for a confirmation bias due to their fear of getting a vaccine while being misinformed in social media for 3 years now. Could have been a completely different virus as well or even a still unknown cause. With 12 billions of jabs by now, surely there will be "more" vaccinated people getting rare diseases, just because the number of vaccinated people rises. Scientists and Doctors are not dumb and correlation isn't causation :)

@@lizzy.ellison I agree with Rick. I know 3 different people personally that have had life changing auto immune changes after getting the Covid vaccine. Different autoimmune diseases are becoming wayyy too common..hope you get well soon Lizzy.

@@whatisyourbeta5351Ok… I am not saying that no one has issues with the vaccine. I’m just saying that that’s not what it’s looking like is happening for me specifically. I don’t know why it’s so hard for people to wrap her head around this.
