I was taking the transmission cover off and a small spring about 1 inch long fell out. I dont know where from... do you have any idea what that might be for? Extra from previous rebuild??
@everythingmechanical_yt
@everythingmechanical_yt 3 күн бұрын
@@ColeBehnken probably unlikely that it’s extra but if you split the case it may be from the forward reverse selector, there is a ball with a spring behind it that sets into a detent on the forward reverse shaft

I don't think it's from that because I never took that selector out. I saw some wear on that gear that is connected to the clutch. Is there a spring between the clutch and axle push lever? Could be that

Thanks for the well-thought-out commentary on your video! We both make decisions on our equipment along similar lines. I've never used a sulky before so I'm viewing a lot of different videos to see the strongest and weakest ideas to do a fabrication for myself. Your point about the wheels being able to pass under the tow-bar when going in reverse, really struck me, as none I had viewed had mentioned that at all. I'm also seeing how exacting the pivot point and ride position with the steering controls are critical for less stress during operation. My project actually involves making one for a self-propelled snowthrower.

Great Video, I will be doing this next weekend! Just as a thanks i thought id make a recommendation: If you sign up for an amazon associates account then link the carburetor and intake boot in the description of the video you will probably get a lot of affiliate income from this video. I'm not normally one to click links people put in their video descriptions but had you done that here I definitely would have and id bet many others would have! Just a recommendation so you can make some money for your time spent providing this info. Thanks man!

I have an Echo SRM225 and its my second Echo, I like the machine and have had no issues with the power head. I will say the switch leaks voltage to ground so it shocks me if I dont tape it up but other than that it works excellent. One of the best attributes of the echo is their claim to fuel efficiency, you should do a test on that against the Stihl

Paid more than if I had gone the route of this video, but I wanted the clean OEM look and was willing to shell up the ponies for it. Just got it today and installing it tomorrow. Took two weeks to get to me. Beware if anyone tries to order it from Canada right now, the postal service up there is on strike so there will be shipping delays.

I had two of these walk behind mowers with the single cylinder Kohler engine. Both of them the first start of the day you always had to use starting fluid, would run great but always when cold took starting fluid. I tried adjusting the choke several times and it was working as it should. I tried multiple carburetors, oem, aftermarket, used. Nothing would fix the cold start issues. I hated those mowers.

Tried this, heater went in east until 1/4 inch. Wouldn’t budge. Had to hit it harder and harder. Couldn’t get it out. No room to get it in or out. Even if I got it in I ended up bending a prong it in. Not the most helpful video. I’m pretty upset
@everythingmechanical_yt
@everythingmechanical_yt 3 ай бұрын
If it doesn’t fit you shouldn’t force it. 1/4” is a lot considering the taper on the heater itself. Not sure if you didn’t clean that hole out or if you have the right heater but definitely not worth messing up your block for something like this. As for the video, I installed the correct part for my vehicle and explained exactly how I installed it effectively, but if you’re working on your own vehicle it’s up to you to get and install your parts correctly.
