Great Video, I will be doing this next weekend! Just as a thanks i thought id make a recommendation: If you sign up for an amazon associates account then link the carburetor and intake boot in the description of the video you will probably get a lot of affiliate income from this video. I'm not normally one to click links people put in their video descriptions but had you done that here I definitely would have and id bet many others would have! Just a recommendation so you can make some money for your time spent providing this info. Thanks man!

If you Had to use a different throttle cable instead of cutting and rethreading the connector, do you have any idea which cable to buy? If I understand this video correctly, the OEM cable was just about an inch or so too short to connect to the inside of the carb. Or was it easier to mod the connection than to install another cable? Thanks just wondering.

I did the warrior carburetor swap. I bought the carb off of Amazon (1PZ W35-IM1 Carburetor w/CNC Intake Manifold) And I bought a warrior throttle cable off Amazon as well (1PZ LT5-Y03 Throttle Cable) Using this combination everything bolted up hassle free. Exact fit for the cable and the carb on the Wolverine. Took about 35 minutes to install. I did not have to rejet the carb. I’m at sea level in Louisiana and it works perfect. There is a noticeable increase in throttle response. It is more snappy when you hit the throttle. The carburetor was $89 with prime and the throttle cable was $15. I recommend this swap to anyone who is looking to get a new carburetor. It doesn’t transform the bike into anything crazy, but it does make a noticeable difference. If anyone has questions I will do my best to help.

I think its definitely worth it! Theirs a huge noticeable difference in the amount of power acceleration the quad has! It's not too difficult to install either, the biggest pain is just getting those warrior carbs running right. If you buy a new carb this shouldn't be an issue, just run a good quality fuel and air filter that way it doesn't get clogged up

Vacuume leak! If your engine has problems keeping a steady idle and the idle rpm says high after revving its a dead giveaway of a vacume Leak. Normally it's the o-ring that seals the intake boot to the head, the intake boot has cracks allowing air into the mixture or possibly valvecover cam cover orings.it could also be a head gast but you will know that by high pitch pulsing squeals from combustion.

At 4:32 you said I took a die and pushed it down then I cut it. What do you mean. I’m lost, lol I had you until that point. Can you further explain on that
@everythingmechanical_yt3 жыл бұрын
Yes! Since I needed that tube to be shorter, I decided to cut it. In doing so, the threads on the end were completely gone since they only continued down about a millimeter or so. In order to cut new threads into the tube I used a die and ran that down so that the throttle cable housing could thread onto the end of the tube as it's supposed to. Let me know if that helps!

@im-that-guy-pal3 жыл бұрын
The wolverine has a switch that limits revving when the handbrake is applied. Have you disconnected the switch to see it it stops the sputtering? Also if it boggs at full throttle your jetting isn't set correctly. You need to adjust the high circuit jet needle up or down. Also blow compressed air through it to make sure it's not restricted. Aftermarket carbs work just as good as one if you know how to tune a carburetor.
