Can't beat the mk5 transit mate mine 1997 failed mot this year on little bit of welding but got the bulket proif banana engine . Im in progress of refitting all the panels at front rather than weld plates everything else solid and runs like a dream with only 87 thou on clock.if your near carlise would appreciate some tips or help tc mate from a transit to a transit owner

As a time served fabricator of 45 years i have been asked to restore 4 transit chassis and sills. I tend to fabricate stuff rather than buy or attempt to buy replacements. I just finished a van version '2 spools of .08 mig wire, 2 sheets of 6ft x 5ft x 3mm sheets of steel and its finished. I tig welded anything visual and spot welded ( plugs ) where i could. The state of it made the above look like a new vehicle.. without a lift it would have taken 3 times as long...however i.love a challenge ..

I’ve just found your Chanel and subscribed. Sorry to hear about your dog. I’ve got 2 that are getting old now and I’m dreading the day I loose them. I’ve got a smiley Transit luton my self that I’m about to start converting. All I’ve done up to now is tidy the outside up a bit and I’ve done the walk thru from cab to box. That was a must for me as I didn’t like the idea of been trapped in the back. I now want to get started in the back, insulating and so on and get on some adventures as soon as possible. As long as it’s insulated and clad I will be happy and everything else can be done a bit at a time. There’s not many out there as you know so it’s good to find someone that’s doing one. I look forward to seeing more work on your van 👍👌

Wouldn't want to have made the decision to put Billy to sleep it's the same as loosing a close relative. At least Driver will help with Billy's passing. Nice bit of fabrication there mate fits like a glove.

Really sorry you lost Billy. He always reminded me of one of my previous dogs. A great little dog with alot of character. You made the right decision not to prolong his suffering. A hard decision we have all had to make. One that I delayed with regret about my dog buster. All the best, Driver looks a cracking little dog. Enjoy your travels with your new friend.
