Give your opponents credit when they do something right. Youll have to work on your Kazuya matchup a bit Gotta block punish kazuyas mids: df2 ( -12 ), 1+2 ( -13 ) , ws 1,2 ( -12) Demon paw is a but annoying but you can go for a mid/low mix on block. Its okay if you dont know the matchup though, there's still matchups im trash at because I have no interest in some characters and need to force kyself to lab them. Also, instead of getting salty try to take more responsibility for your plays e.g. Kazuya doing a powercrush on round start is no worse than you mashing on roundstart imo. You both made a high risk play, he guessed right.

​@@volktol4432 Don't take it too seriousely, he is just trolling 😉 EVERY characters in Tekken 8 have some tools to be carried because they made an offensive game. The winrate of Zaf is so high because of the lack of knowledge of her matchup. I don't follow that much tierlists because I'm just a purple rank player that prefer playing the characters I like but there is a good reason why Zaf is low in ALL tierlist : it's mainly because of the frames of her punishers that are extremly bad in this game. She can't launch 13F lows with her WS1, 2 and she even don't have the tools to punish a Rage Art with a launcher. Her best punish is DF3, 4... Don't be fooled by the "uniqueness" of her moveset and the lack of knowledge of her matchup. At high level, when players know what they do, she can't compete with many other characters of the game that have a way better tools. And as they just boosted her offense in the latest patch, she will remains low in the tierlist and I don't see so much more people playing her now... 🙄

i use zafina in 3:32 zafina can launch that move with her df2 cuz zafina had some range on her launcher or u can use her b1:1+2 that some punish zafina have if that’s a big minus & have some pushback

ive noticed you dont use ff3 that much, you should try it out. plus 8 on block mid into scr 2 1 heat engager. if they start jabbing do power crush out of scr, if they power crush you, go for df3 it will counterhit them and also crush their highs and mids. After df3 most people will crouch, then you can go for the mantis mixups

I think Hwo players having weak defense is not a surprise given the playstyle of the character. It's a rushdown character. If he gets the drop on you there is no reason to block anymore. It's your turn for the rest of the round. So I don't really get why defense stats are supposed to matter that much. If you can get away without blocking, it's your opponents' fault for not knowing the matchup. And I don't even play Hwo myself, I hate him as much as any other player.

Most people defense score is low because they can’t or don’t break grabs much. My grab break has improved a lot and I’m still sitting at a 5.

Stats aren’t that important but a consistent indicator of a carried players is high offense and very low defense. I’ve watch my own friends get demoted for this very issue. Basically defense is very important in the higher ranks and if you got there from all offensive you’re gonna be stuck when players know the matchup and you didn’t learn any because you could flow chart and use cheap gimmicks to progress.

i 100% agree there is very gimmicky players, that figured out some flowchart or bullshitloop their character has, i also agree that out of these, hwoarang is the most annoying (i suck at the matchup). still i think (counting myself as well), if you're somewhat serious about the game and lose to those guys, you're just not good enough and gotta practice that shit since i don't think it'll ever be fixed, i guess its part of the game/climb

The thing is (your) matchup knowledge isn’t enough for me to consider a character carried. My definition of carried is having actual oppressive opinions that the game sets up for you. Most of Zafinas opinions are really easy to deal with or have a consistent answers to.

Victor and Nina. They’re absurdly carried. I know the match up with Victor so he’s easy for me. But Nina is rushdown so she doesn’t give you a chance to fight back. Also she has the same bullshit super armor move that is absurdly fast and it’s a heat engager. Im a Lars player but my stats are balanced. So i guess im not completely carried. But i can totally see why people hate going up against him. He is real hard to defend against. Although thats kinda the point with him but whatevs. But ive seen some pretty bad lars players in higher ranks than me. I usually punish them for using certain moves since i obviously know the match up and frame data. So they’re kinda easy wins.
