You've definitely been treating CE's plasma pistol like those of the later games. In the campaign CE's plasma pistol is actually arguably the best weapon in the game next to the pistol. The damage output of its regular fire and the fire rate is insane (as fast as your trigger finger) and even outdamages the CE's plasma rifle. In fact jackals on legendary have the 2nd highest damage output behind only the rocket flood because of how good CE's plasma pistol was. That said, due to its low velocity it was really bad in multiplayer.

What do you mean? H2 brute AI consisted of shoot out in the open and aggro into a melee bullet sponge. H3 brutes actually use tactics lol.

Halo 2 brutes suck. They are just bullet sponges that get way to close for you to shoot them. Most of the time I just have to melee all of the brutes if I am too close and/or I don't have a precision weapon I can get a headshot with.

They really became far too elite-like and not in a good way, they lost a lot of what made halo 2's brutes feel like their own thing. They don't hunt you down anymore since they play so passively, berserking isn't scary since their melees are so slow, the regenerator does basically nothing for them, they have very little health and very flimsy shields compared to the elites of past games. It's by far the easiest game to play legendary on thanks to how hard they dropped the ball with the brutes.

I think part of it was that the Brutes in 3 became the stand-in for Elites instead of their own enemy type, so Bungie had to downgrade them a lot to make them easier to take on. But they till messed it up by making their health too high and their shields too weak, letting you mop the floor with them with a headshot weapon and making plasma weapons near useless outside of Legendary.

Actually, you can count them! electrified90s gave this brute a staggering 152 plasma wounds, if one considers the 4 shots that he landed on the poor brute's dead body to count as "wounds." Ps. The reason this number isn't a more rounded number like 150 or 500 is probably because electrified90s' partner (who was dead at the start of the video) had already inflicted some damage on this brute before being killed by it, or so I speculate. Either way, very slow, annoying, and painful indeed.

My mod it amped the plasma pistol and since there isn't much difference between brute ranks healthy they pretty much all take the same damage,it takes a few bolts so dual wielding doesn't obliterate the brutes but otherwise plasma rifles needlers and spikers finish them withing seconds

Yes the plasma pistol effectiveness drastically decreased in halo 3.

I haven't played it since owning the 360, remember it being short, and a significant change to combat. I very much liked some of the new pick ups they introduced. I vaguely remember one being a bubble shield that also healed you and another giving you super speed.

I didn't have access to their guns at that time. But yes in general their weapons are more effective unsc weapons.

@mechatech9897 I was panicking myself mate. Everytime they charge you it's pretty much a scramble to kill them before you back into a wall or some other thing in the way. I was pretty fortunate this time, I could run around the debris in the middle.

Yes mate. I mostly enjoy halo in multiplayer. Glad you like it. Normally console flagship games aren't great, but halo on Xbox is iconic. They've had some highs and lows throughout the years but overall it's been pretty good.

It helps with the remastering. Not sure I would have gone back to playing halo if not. I remember the old mechanics. Still can't get over how bad driving a warthog was and still is despite the remastering. I mean back in the day that was one thing that determined if you played halo or not, and was the running joke.

Lol. Maybe 1 shot on the lowest difficulty. When playing legendary the only thing you can 1 shot is them annoying little grunts, which occasionally suicide bomb you with plasma grenades.

That's really only Halo CE, where the pistol was insanely imbalanced, so it's more of a different game different rules situation

Fair enough. I have a standard gaming laptop but it's only got 1080p resolution. I also prefer some games using a controller rather than keyboard and mouse. Unless you've got a high tech one it's even harder to aim with that.

​@@electrified90sIf dodge there attack whilst positioning behind them then shoot them in the repeatedly they die much faster. I was playing on legendaey and it was a pain to do it with another hunter shpoting a grenade luancher at me. I had to lure one away from the other and repeat the process.

Yes he is. I wanted to slap him first time I played this game and met him. Wait until I post up the videos for lord of the Hunt. That's a dlc where every main mission has him in it. He's even more aggravating as he shows you more abilities with the monsters of mordor

I don't tend to preorder games, the last one being the bit of a shambles of a cyberpunk 2077 release, then assassin's creed origins. so when I saw some gameplay I was like wow, very different from previous mortal Kombat games and the gameplay looked sweet as well. I'm a big fan of a good story within a game so that really dragged me in. Having seen raiden when he's younger before lightning powers was also intriguing.

I haven't played the new street fighter game, it didn't appeal to me at all when seeing the gameplay or trailer being advertised. In fact I haven't played a street fighter game in years. It's lost a lot of the appeal it had when I was growing up. over the years and multiple releases I just don't see anything new.

@@electrified90s yeah, I’ve been a long time street fighter fan. The last street fighter game I truly liked was Street Fighter 3:Third Strike. I love the balance and parry system… for some reason Capcom refuses to bring back the mentioned parry’s system.

Fair enough. Surely any game today should have a parry system? That's just basic combat. Although I don't like the fact that you have to grow your bar to pay and parrying takes away the ability to perform an x-ray move. Oh well you can't have it all.

Yes. I believe if you play the repaired or reconstructed memories you unlock Da Vinci who then appears randomly throughout the map so you can then purchase the upgrades you used to have in ACII plus some extras new to ACB.
