Your title is wrong, this engine is the 5.0 which is from 2011 until today. 2009-2011 was a different engine the 5.4L the old 3 vavle

Man I think you right! I don’t even realize that
@drscopeify8 күн бұрын
@@outsidendwoodworking5372 Yeah no problem, they changed the body style and engine at different years for some reason so it is confusing. Maybe the 5.0 was not yet ready for production in 2009.

Why didn’t you jack it at the center jack point in front and rear and rotate the tires while it was draining?

It said 5.1 US quarts for oil and filter change. Why didn't you put in the whole 5 quarts instead of leaving a half quart?
@candacechavigne55609 ай бұрын
He’s Canadian; they use liters. He’s saying the 5.1 quarts translates to 4.8 liters. I’m assuming that’s accurate; like most Americans I couldn’t tell you the conversion w/o Google. 😊
@Lunded689 ай бұрын
@candacechavigne5560 the jug contains 5 quarts or4.73 liters so the entire jug would still be a smidge light. Anyway...no big deal. The only reason I looked this up is my daughter just bought a crosstrek. I would just pick up a 6th quart to make sure it would be full.

You didn't need to take off the control arm to do the ball joints. Just needed to take the castle nut the joint, bang it with a hammer to break it loose, then loosen then two bolts and slide out the old one and slide the new one in

I had to comment! I was going bald scratching my head trying to figure out how to overcome issue with EXTREMELY HARD Concrete floor in my older home. I tried the different nails i tried the one hard swing of the hammer jazz (RIP BASEBOARD). Then i ran across a comment from another of the 100+ videos i watched saying something similar to what you did here. Man i appreciate it was was able to get a full room nailed down with your advise. I picked up 1/8 Milwaukee concrete bit and the galvanized wire from home depot. started off drilling using my impact but noticed it was still struggling from time to time so switched to my harbor freight hammer drill and man did i notice a difference! Thank you!

There’s not 1 video on KZbin where I can find where there’s a very loud popping/snapping sound while engaged in 4wd. I’ve been told it’s the transfer case and I haven’t had the time to take it to anyone to check it. When I engage the 4wd it starts to make really loud noises as if your snapping 2x4s over and over. The noise goes away when I go bad to 2H. Anyone know what I might be?

I have question. We did a oil change on my husband truck. The required amount is 5.7 litres (6 quarts). But he can only put in 4 litres. The dipstick says it's full. Do you think that's ok ?
@drdrew310 ай бұрын
It didn’t drain completely. So instead of a complete oil change you had some old stuff left over and mixed in. If you did the flush as he did there would be even less of the old stuff left behind

What other issues did you notice with this (I am still trying to figure out the issue)? I noticed with mine (may or may not be related) I could not shift to 4x4 and the horn wouldn't work. When I would hear that grinding my check engine would come on and say "check 4x4".

pre filling the oil filter it totally unnecessary, there is a youtube of a mechanic that made a clear filter and it filled up on the first crank, less than split second. The ramp funnel works if the truck is level

Gas tank purge valve may be going bad , it's right there in your video with the green connection and 2 10mm bolts! They go bad and suck too much vapors from your gas tank. Disconnect wiring, hose, start truck and see if it's sucking, if it is, then replace it !

For the mpg I use sea foam in my upper engine(after throttle body), clean MAP sensor & throttle body. For engine noise & mpg try liqui moly cera-tec(20002). This has done wonders for my engine. I've got 141,000 miles on my 14 and it will burn both rear tires off. (No tunes or mods). Gotta keep the 5.0 clean if not it kill'em.
