You forgot to punch the nut down in the groove of the axle

@@CustomAddics my friend just bought a 2011 TK Barina, I replaced the alternator 10yr old almost to the day. Now the rear bearings need replacing. I've been trying to find info. I think it could be a 2nd gen between the older and new series because it has 5stud wheels but drum brake. 2 different listings for the bearings :/ wan2 make sure I order the right ones😄 good 4 people like you making vids, it really helps others with cross reference and technical advice. Keep up the good work 👌

@@aberakadabra1285 yes this is a perfect question! Usually when there is the option for two different part numbers for the same piece I buy from a brick and mortar store locally, they usually know, if not, buy both options then bring back the one you did not use

Seized is what im going to runinto on my front bearing.. i can envision it now.. im gonna need to get the hub puller out ..and hammer on that for a bit then im gonna have to take the whole damn knuckle off im gonna end up having to find a goddamn dude with a shop press to press the bearing in... Arrrggg... damn it fkin PRAY it goes as easy as this dudes job. perfect example of EVERYthing going Perfect.

Is it the same for the front?
@CustomAddics6 жыл бұрын
PapaKoalaa the front is similar to the rear, it a actual splines into the cv drive shaft in the front and it is a different part number

I have a 2006 aveo. I did the front ones on mine. They are pressed in. Either machine shop, or buy a sliding hammer. I bought and used a sliding hammer. Took 2 days and lots of wd40 and a propane torch.

no the fronts are a pain in the ass at least they are on my 2011 I think its the same on 2009

I started to do mine myself then I smashed my finger on the sliding hammer and I said screw it

So, let's remove the hub cap without showing and bounce the new one on the cement a few times, smh

Where's the brake drum? 🧐
@smoke4fee2 жыл бұрын
You know that grease is supposed to be packed behind the cap right.. now the bearing is dry on the spindle, and you didn't punch a groove in the lock nut so it has a chance to back off now, Decent DIY, horrible execution

How About two screws you forgot to put
@CustomAddics4 жыл бұрын
I didn’t have the missing screws for the drum rotor at the time but I have replaced them, and have actually sold the vehicle since then

I believe those, like the stamped nuts under the wheel on other vehicles, are for shipping; they keep the brake drum from falling off while the rim is missing - the consumer doesn't need to worry about those; you don't try to drive the car without a wheel.
