This is a camping gadget, last power outage in texas lasted 6-7 days. this could not run an ac unit and power sockets. All of which a gas generator can do for 1000 USD. and 8 gallons a day. connect it to gas and you are rocking. I would take this for free and do a video saying it is great as well.

No way this is enough to last days, mentioning weeks is a long shot. 5KWH barely last a few hours. What I need is a 40KWH system that can power a transfer switch with 100amps and options to recharge with a portable gas generator. Installing solar not ideal since high/extreme wind can damage or even rip if off your roof. I would buy it right away if it meets my target.

We lost power for about a week from Helen and wasn't allowed to leave until 4 days into it. It was awful lol😅. Could've used this especially since generators were impossible to find . Also, did you need like permission from your electric company or a permit to have the switch installed?

Usually you would need a permit for the subpanel and an electrician but electric company don't care
