I have one important question. If the compost tea has liquid nutrition for plant so why is not working in hydrophobic system .?

It definitely seems like the biochar soil could grow 40% more plants than the control. its like getting 40% more MPG in your car.

I like Mel Bartholomew's book as well, I like the idea of more intensive gardening and am learning to ignore conventional plant spacing guidelines. 😂Niki Jabbour also has some books for year round gardening she is based in the Maritimes of Canada.

CAUSION WITH LED light ‼ 6:00 ALWAYS wear LED-sunglasses -imagine we dont have any senses to detect light or feel if its harmful like we can when we suffocate Personally i have been working with/exposed to a lot of LED lighting over 1-2 years, at the time it could cause sore eyes, headache, nausea and sleep disorder, but at the end I considered myself being allergic to LED light and had to stop completely, no LED at home at all. Today 3-4 years after having to quit all LED I still get strong reaction just after a few seconds of *indirect radiation* light from a smartphone(eye pain and nausea). A single "standby LED" is not a problem today, as long as a havent been exposed to a lot of LED. Thinking that a break is needed after excessive exposure or when the eyes become tired, is a BIG mistake, protection glasses are a necessity even if you just forgot something in the lab/growroom-even if its just 3 seconds. *Just because you cant feel light doesnt make it any less harmful to us* - Like plants we are also affected on a biochemical(melatonine,vitamine-D,etc) fashion by light, not always by the amount of LUM(Light,sharpness) or WATT(Warm,energy), but also the wavelength(mood,temperature feel) and frequency(CNS,epilepsy,autism,etc) can play a role we dont notice. - *but it really is more harmful than most people know.* When we talk growlight(and other niche light) then some are very "concentrated"/refined to hit a special wavelength spectra to start a specific chemical reaction, so optimal all the energy focused on that spectra, therefore the need to be EXTRA careful with growlight. I can feel the amount of energy(heat) but not really what kind(radiator | sun)(just like: no protection in a sauna, but on the beach and a welding workshop its a pretty good idea) *Once you are hypersensitive to LED light, you are done* it becomes harder and harder to buy non-LED light bulbs, and LED are used more and more-even used in cars front light and becomes very blinding, even in daylight. Just a very important warning to those who work with LED - I hope my english is understandable

Compost tea or extract is never intended to use as organic fertilizer, don´t see the point of the whole video...

Is there anything wrong with using a pressure cooker to sterilize and mash the apples? Me and my friend who makes mead tried it, and to our surprise, when we opened the pressure cooker, the apples had lost all structure and were basically a bloody sause? My first brew is that sause in a 5 gallon bucket filled 1/3 apple mash to 2/3 water, which simmered with cinnamon and chopped oranges for about an hour and a tablespoon or two of yeast. I sealed it up with a DIY airlock tossed some old honey in and marked the date. This process so far seems okay? It should work but I'll be wanting to refine it before I start brewing in the 55 gallon drums I picked up for cheap.

Be careful with wild blueberries they take over like crazy as mint, yes only wild ones can take over while commercial ones don't because people bred rhizomes and spreading traits out of commercial blueberries so they won''t take over.

Wouldn't it be better to syphon from the top of the primary so you can avoid the sediment at the bottom? Thanks for the wonderful information! Also, how long do you keep them in bottles before drinking?

Ah but is the salinity of tapwater the real culprit? You would have to do the tests over a much longer period.
@AlbertaUrbanGarden3 ай бұрын
Salinity here is not an issue as there is literally none in the water.

@@AlbertaUrbanGarden I did a check on our supply in south west area england and mg/l for past 12 months: min 64.8 av 74.5 max 94.7 permitted 200. It's too high I think for confident extensive use over summer, and even for personal use (low kidney function in family). You are fortunate with your supply. Thanks for your reply.

Great videos, but... "Simply applying compost is better" Well duh, of course having infinite compost is ideal. But the whole point of compost tea is to multiply the microorganisms from the always limited compost you have.

I was looking at what distance Mr. and Mrs. Honeyberry (5-10 feet tall) should be planted apart. I think I "found" the answer in your video - at 6 feet (1.83m) apart. But you planted them somewhat only ONE meter apart! (Unfortunately, there is no indication about this on the leaflet.)

A cheap drip system would prevent you from manually filling your water bucket and saving you a huge amount of time. There are great videos on KZbin explaining drip irrigation.
